A really exciting announcement. I took the "JS: Understanding the weird parts" course back in 2017. It's no overstatement to say it significantly changed the course of my life, as I now work as a professional front-end software engineer. I sincerely believe that no other form of instruction than the "understand, don't imitate" style (not to mention your generous and patient teaching style) would have had worked for me due to my learning style, and it's likely that I otherwise would have quit. I now earn a salary that enabled me to buy my first home and can consider starting a family. Not wanting to get too heavy here but a lot of it's down to you and the course you created. Thank you, thank you, thank you! A couple of years later I took a very good React course on Udemy which gave me the start I needed, and it's now the framework I'm using most of the time. However, if I'm being honest, I don't understand how a lot of it works, I just understand what it does in a lot of different scenarios. So whilst my repertoire is widening with each year and I can infer more and more, in many ways I'm still 50% software engineer, 50% React operator. It's not satisfactory. All of this is to say that I think there's a hole in the market that fits what you're creating and I'll seriously consider buying it. Even better, I'll ask my work to buy it on my behalf, ha ha! Wishing you and your family the very best ,Tony.

Come on Tony, commit to this man. I know it's going to be a lot of work to get it right - to do it your way - but trust me when I say this: we need this. I like many many others will be a day 1 signup. That's 99 USD I'm going to be committing even though I earn not in USD, not even close (the exchange rate is horrific for me), but quality is quality, and that's what we expect from you. In any case, I also want to thank you for your past courses, two of which I own. I really really appreciate how you've done them, and they are a major boon in my life. Sending love, good wishes and good vibes to you from close to the equator.

I recommend your course along with other materials as essential for any self-taught full stack JS dev or front end or just anyone choosing JS as their first language Likewise, I think a react course would be fitting because I can’t say anyone has a course out there that does a deep dive and really breaks down react to its core

After all, I've been writing CSS and HTML for over 6 years... It's God how much you updated me... After finishing the course (actually 90 percent of it) I feel like until now I've been walking in a fog while writing CSS and HTML and I wasn't even aware of it until you turned the sun's rays on this topic... As a full stack dev with a slant towards back end (rails) I found react to be quite bitty and bobby without redux, which was easy to imitate but not understand™ I'd not pay a premium for a react only course but I'd pay double premium for a react/redux/(current state management platform) course that enabled me to do a full crud cycle with properly maintained front end state. That was one of the best things about ember-data but ember seems to have fallen a bit flat despite being great technology :(

@@TonyAlicea I, like many others, have been blessed because of your approach to teaching and the knowledge you impart. I think a course which explains the fundamental of how things work is crucial and exactly what we need. However, in terms of mass appeal to many dev's I think one that goes a step further in extending how the knowledge gained from understanding the first principles, is tied together in producing a real-world application, would be very beneficial. It is my view therefore that the "add-ons" should either be included in the release or made immediately available(at a fee) for a natural progression.

Just giving my 2 cents, not having it on udemy is a barrier to entry, udemy is just a common place for devs to get their courses from. I think it would still do well for you if you host it on udemy coz your edge over other instructors is not only your deep understanding of the subject matter, but also being able to explain it to the point that the students understand it. I am pretty sure lots of people will buy your course if you put it on udemy. But I do understand where you are coming from. Another suggestion if I may is to do a course about NestJS.
