I live in and LOVE The Villages - Fenney!!

We retired and we are living in a city that has the same or more , as far as activities. We have so many activities, 300+ indoor and outdoor. We have bike and walking trails, they are building new one all the time. You can get on one trail, connect with other trails and end up in The Smoky Mountains. Most of trails connect at least 500 miles or more . It will get to (again ) smoky mountains, and then you can get on the Appalachians Trail go from Maine - Georgia . Live in the Midwest , only take 5 - 12 hours from Tenneesee , Indiana , Ohio, Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky , Kansas , etcc. All depends on where you want to live .

lol @ you mentioned the bubble ...........The Villagers is the Bubble. lol That's what Rusty says, he lives in the bubble . I worked for 44 years before retiring , actually retired at the of 62 years old.

No offense to the other commenter Debbie but I 100% would rather live anywhere in Florida than anywhere in the Midwest! Best decision of my life was getting to Florida (near The Villages). No thank you to the ice and the snow shoveling. Been there done that couldn't wait to get away. It's definitely not for everybody here like you say though.

Could not agree with you more!!! After being lifelong Rhode Islanders living a stone's throw from the bay and the ocean a 15 minute ride away, after spending my first winter following my retirement essentially homebound due to the cold snowy winters in R.I. that was enough for me. We sold our R.I. home in a day in 2022 and bought our Villages home right after that and this was the best decision my husband and I ever made. We love our new home, our area which is St.Johns, we have the best neighbors that are now good friends, and the weather even in the summer we love. Living in TV may not be for everyone, but one can't make that decision unless they actually make a visit here.
