That's not true. Out of 40+ he opens, he's had a couple decent ones. Of course, decent as in the pulls were good, that being said whenever someone opens an expensive sealed, they NEVER get to the price that pack costs..to everyone but them..because the love to justify it when they pull a good card, its ALWAYS A PSA 10. "$1500 PSA 10" on a $1000 sealed pack.

I was thinking the same thing... There are people that make their money on resealing packs for Pokemon and MTG. It's way more common than the communities want to admit because it would leave so many victims feeling scammed instead of just unlucky.

These packs are a scam. You know why? These sellers have been opening whole boxes of these cards in the past, and when they got the "certain" number of foils of that booster box, they stop opening the rest of the boosters. And those lay around for so long until you come around and you buy one for 70.

Unfortunately, opening loose packs is almost exclusively a losing game. There’s almost always a system to the loading of boxes with regards to which pack has the good stuff, by the time you get loose packs, you’re getting the discards from Boxes that somebody didn’t want

It seems like the real investment here is buying booster boxes and sitting on them for several years and then selling the individual packs for an extreme markup. $115 for a box of 36 packs and then selling each pack for $30 apiece 4 years later will make you $960 in profit. Hard to beat that in the stock market

When I was growing up in Maine back in the 90s I was a big basketball card collector and we only had one card shop called Shiretown coins. I remember this so clearly I walked into the store owner was no where in sight looked around for 5 mins still no owner. Only other place he could be is down in the basement a place where I have never been got to the bottom of the stairs 1 room directly to the left I walked in dude was opening and glueing packs he was shocked I was shocked only thing he could say was I’ll be right up. I said ok ran up the stairs and out. I told no one about it till later on in life and when I did other people knew as well never went back..
