Juco has always been on my mind I think it’s going to suit me better than going D1, 2 or 3

I really enjoyed the video! It really made me think about considering JUCO. I was wondering if you could make a video on how D3 coaches go about recruiting. It's always been a confusing topic for me considering athletic scholarships aren't offered at the D3 level. Thanks and keep the awesome content coming!

Hey Rob! Thanks for the comment. I can try to make a video about this topic soon. Coaches at the D3 level go after guys who are more interested in a life after baseball, but want to continue playing in college. These players make school their top priority.

What you are explaining are NCAA non-qualifiers that's a 2-4 transfer who already matriculated fulltime in junior college. According to the NCAA Division 1 Sliding scale and the NCAA Transfer Guide, if you are an NCAA qualifier, that means if you completed all your high school core courses with a C average or higher, have qualifying SAT or ACT test scores, graduated high school on time with a high school diploma, you don't have to spend 2 years at JUCO. You can play college sports and start classes as an incoming freshman in the fall or spring (summer school don't count) for one semester and then transfer to an NCAA Division 1 school. Prep school style but way cheaper. If you are an NCAA non-qualifier, people say that you do have to spend 2 years and graduate from a junior college, However, that’s not always the case. It all depends on a variety of things. For example, it depends on your major, the junior college that YOU are currently attending, the registration and scheduling structure of that JUCO, do they let you create your own schedule? Or is it like high school, handcuffed and they choose the classes for you? You redshirted, injuries, etc. Some junior college programs, especially in Mississippi or Kansas or Texas, takes you about one year to graduate if you’re that motivated. And don’t feel bad if you fail to academically qualify for the NCAA Division 1 level on the first try. NCAA non-qualifiers, WHO NEVER MATRICULATED FULLTIME BEFORE, do have the option to postpone their eligibility clock by GREYSHIRTING (part-time OR three-quarter time college student) (fall or spring) for one semester or one year. You can simultaneously BOOST your SAT/ACT test scores while taking college courses (developmental/remedial classes don’t matter), and then become an NCAA qualifier, and then matriculate fulltime AFTER you make the team (already enrolled fulltime college students no longer have this option). Another possibility is that if you DO NOT COMPETE at all and remain a GREYSHIRT for one or two years, and DON’T TAKE A FULLTIME COURSE LOAD, and GRADUATE from the JUCO with an associate’s degree, you will STILL HAVE ALL 5 CUMULATIVE YEARS OF ELIGIBILITY TO COMPLETE 4 SEASONS OF COMPETITION REMAINING (JuCo and NCAA combined) (2 years for JUCO and 2 years for the NCAA with a 5th year option)! That’s mind blowing! 90 credit courses in the NJCAA (they are called units in California) is the maximum you can take at the JUCO level. And your junior college G.P.A. is locked in after graduation, it won’t change unless you transfer to a 4 year school. You can still compete, get recruited and then transfer after that. But that’s if you choose to return to the junior college level for the 2nd academic year after graduation or 3rd academic year for playing reasons instead of transferring to an NCAA Division 1 school.

Hey. Nice video. I have a quick question. I play juco baseball in the fall and also graduate in the fall. If I get a division 1 scholarship in the fall can I go d1 in the spring and play baseball there.

@littleboy746
@littleboy746 7 жыл бұрын
Jacob Arrowsmith if you go juco you could get drafted any year of college instead of just junior and senior year if you went to a 4 year school. Also some good schools get tones of professional looks
