I looked at moving from Park City Utah to McCall as a retirement move. McCall is much more affordable. Housing, food, entertainment, are all less expensive. But.... It's more remote, longer harsher winters. I spent a full year there to test the waters. Still very high on my list. Such a beautiful place!

Insurance costs are rising faster than property taxes. It is another expense I recommend checking when looking at moving to an area. 😁
