I love how you do it in alphabetical order. When we start an iceberg that we're somewhat familiar width, we already know the first 3 to 4 levels of that iceberg, and I sometimes skip those. But when you do it in alphabetical order, you get a good mix of some that you haven't heard of, and those that you have that just need a little refresher.

Use of the word “alleged“ with regard to discoveries made by admiral Byrd in Antarctica is simply used to denote what the US government has not acknowledged. While there are rather fantastic allegations of encounters with high-tech flying saucers possibly of Nazi origin as well as a subterranean civilization none of which was ever acknowledged by the US government, there was, however, a report that was acknowledged by the US government of a more credible, but still rather significant discovery, made during the antarctic mission led by Admiral, Byrd known as operation, high jump. This discovery was immediately made public, and many people witnessed the discovery as it was recorded on film, and released to the public in an Academy, award-winning documentary film, produced by the US Navy, titled “the secret land”. The discovery was that of a 300 square mile area in Antarctica, where it was too warm for there to be any snow or ice. The area was named Bunger Hills after the pilot who discovered and filmed the area. He landed his plane on a lake that was part of a chain of freshwater lakes that were free of ice. The film footage does not show much vegetation, but there are reportedly forests there. After this announcement was made, the Soviet union traveled there and established a base. I believe that documentary which shows film footage of the area can still be found on KZbin. As the film was produced by the US Navy at the start of the Cold War, an element of propaganda certainly plays a role however, the film footage appears to be genuine. The subject of this “warm oasis“ has been rarely spoken of since.

@sunshineskates5377 That's along the lines I was thinking, yeah. Like a 3D model just popping up in 2D, seemingly out of nowhere. They should be somewhere around where they appeared, but it seemed to me that I simply wasn't equipped with the hardware to perceive it. One of those was like a semi-translucent ball with refractive parts. The other moved like a Möbius strip. I had a hard time realizing what I was even looking at.

He told me it was like a figure of speech meaning a long time. something like how in modern English we say things like "a million and one", "a few", "an age", "all year" etc. Instead of giving an exact number or time to things

Now when I was a little girl growing up my school took a field trip to the Statue of Liberty that's where I grew up that's where I was born.
