That's the thing, many foreigners live tje dream and rent an apartment in Barceloma city proper but if you look within the vicinity of the city and check towns that are within 20 min of Barcelona the cost of housing drops significantly without sacrificing convenience.

Hi @troyhackney148 thanks for your input! I tend to agree, I was lucky enough to be able to live close to the city centre, but effectively, it's quite expensive. If you go to SItges, Collserola or even L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, you will get better prices. Even if on the case of L'Hospitalet, the environment of a few places is not the best;)
