Ok yall this was my call and the guest on this episode was way off base lol. I do NOT want to date the friend that keeps super-liking me. My ex and i are genuinely platonic friends, have both dated new partners and hungout platonically. I never told him because it made me uncomfortable and i didnt want to cause unnecessary drama in his life. He doesnt exactly have a ton of friends so him losing this friend would be a big loss in his life. I asked tons of people for advice on this. I always thought the friend is a scumbag for trying to match with me but lots of people told me i was wrong about that, thats why i had to ask for an unbiased opinion to weigh in on if it is shitty behavior. Regardless of what anyone else thinks ive always thought this friend was an asshole for this, and ive made sure to give him the cold shoulder if i ever saw him irl. I basically want to tell my ex, my friend, because i genuinely feel like i would want to know if i was him. But i never told him because i felt like i could be disrupting his friendship for nothing, even though now i realize it was his friend who would be the one responsible and not me. Anyway, i called back with clairfying info lol.

So specifically several months after we broke up my ex wanted to get back together, during his pitch to me on that he said "everyone already knows we are basically still together" and I wanted to laugh out loud because no, they didn't, clearly, because his literal best friend was sending me likes on dating apps at this same exact time.
