I got a question regarding budget alocation: In a lot of our properties file type "other" is between 15-25% in some cases even a bit more. When I open the report for those other file types all of them are .woff or .woff2 files. To me it felt kinda strange that in some cases we seem to use 25% or more of our budget for fonts especially since it is always the very same files that get crawled. Is is this normal or is there a way to direct more of this budget to html or other useful resources. To clarify: some of the websites are small (couple of hundred pages and several K visits a month) and others are big (with 10K pages or more and several 100K visits a month) but all appear to have a quit big chunk of budget used for fonts. Some more info: Our font files are cached for 7 days

Great podcast! I've got some questions about crawl budgets and 301 redirects: 1) does a 301 redirect from page A to page B cost more crawlbudget than a 'normal' 200 request? 2) If so, how long will it take before the crawler only requests page B? Thanks!

Crawl budget mattered when you had huge files on each site. But with today's modern platforms and file types that do a pretty good job of making files smaller, most sites dont matter. But i still think you should try and make files smaller when possible.
