However, looking at forward earnings, 20 seems about the lowest it’ll get. It’ll move back up with each succeeding quarter. (24 forward p/e as of now.) Not something I’m going to invest in despite the price fall. That doesn’t always work out in your favor.

Question - how can nike stock be a buy at 100, then become a “not buy” or “sell” at 75 after one earnings? Does the drop in projected revenues really still merit a sell rating after the stock has dropped 25%? I feel like stocks are always buys at their peaks and always “sells” at their lows.

Good point, I bought 50K of Nike stock, you always do the opposite of what the "experts" say. Nike is still a great brand, they make great shoes. Adidas is trading at 200 times it's earnings and Nike is only trading at 20 times it's earnings. Remember this, when everyone is afraid, be greedy and whenever everyone is greedy driving the price of a stock up, then that's the time you have to be afraid.

@@DavejrJr-pf2dd I pick up some Nike too. People only see their shoes business dropped, but they didn't mention Nike Equipment sales went up a lot. Plus Nike is the Jerseys supplier of the NBA, NFL and MLB, Nike is still the leader of sporting goods. And it will stay there for long time. Nike has very strong brand power. Many ppl are collecting their shoes, I never heard ppl collect ON, Hoka or NB. Those shoes companies are making very comfortable running shoes right?? 😂 😂 😂

@@tmc4832 Exactly Nike has a huge MOAT. It has survived through many recessions. IMO there is only Nike and Adidas as far as most well-known sporting brand. Nike will bounce back, people are very tight with their money right now and the stock is at a discount so it's the best time to buy.

Yes, it’s just based off of future estimates and when those change the stock price gets cheaper because its outlook has gone down

On-Running (ONON) will continue to thrive and take market share from Nike. Everyone I've talked to like the comfort and colors. No extra jazz like you see in Nike shoes.

On is gaining traction, but the hard part is ahead. Nike has developed extensive R&D experience, distribution relationships with wholesalers, and manufacturing/logistics at scale.

I had to return already 2 ON sneakers after a few months. Nike will face competition as it did in past. Much larger budget also on R&D (5 times that of second Adidas)

maybe shoes are the first thing to get dropped from the shopping list when you are unemployed, and a lot of those folks are going to be the demographic that buys the classics (e.g., converse).

Nike should sign a pop star like Taylor Swift who has the highest trend instead of a bunch of mediocre basketball players. Just like what Kanye West did to Adidas. I believe the "Swift" brand will sell as good as Jordan😂😂😂

@@parkevtatevosiancfa9544 that's just a thought. Nike has very strong fundamental in sporting good industry. They are the suppliers of NBA, NFL and MLB. That's why the sale of equipment increased a lot while the shoe category was dropping. But Nike shoes aren't normal like ON and Hoka, some of Nike shoes have high collectable value. That's why it got damaged by the global economic issues.....

When i buy shoes, i want to look and touch it... i cant feel it online.... nike did massive mistake selling online... most luxury brands are sold at stores... we dont want to buy a $120 shoes online... i want to see if feel good or fits well... dumb nike... trying to under cut retailer stores...

I agree with you, I like to try on my shoe and test it out, many running stores have tracks at their stores where you can run in your shoes and make sure the fit is right. It’s a big hassle to go through to return shoes that were purchased online

We like Nike because of price (lower end styles) and durability of the shoes. Prices are similar to Puma and Sketchers.

I think Tesla is overrated and overpriced, they always miss on earnings and the stock always goes up LOL. I think people are just in love with Elon Musk, there's a ton of competition in that field: NIO, BYD, Lucid, Rivian etc etc etc. The only way I see the stock doing well long term is if they bring out the optimus robot to the market.

If you believe in a stock then stick with a stock.. don’t fall in love with a story… ask yourself can you see the world without Nike??? Everyone’s blaming the running community on the dip but when you see Nike/Jordan can you see that company/stock disappearing …..
