People need to stop feeling attachment to a bunch of bricks. If its better for the club to build a fully new stadium, they should do that. What makes the club is the people. Not the stadium, not even the players. It's always the people and the community around it. People need to realize that. Highbury was imo iconic and when they moved into the Emirates it felt off. But years after people have gotten used to it and there's loads of atmosphere in that stadium now. I remember the same with Ajax. When Ajax moved from their old stadium into The Cruyff Arena and felt like an empty bunch of bricks. But years after they gave it an identity and it feels like Ajax now. My point is that it shouldn't matter. Old Trafford will stay a part of their history and a new stadium would become a new part of their history. You can't stay forever in a bunch of bricks, one day it will fall apart but the club can stay on its feet due to the people and community around it, thats the actual club.

The emirates is terrible. One of the worst excuses for a football ground I’ve ever visited. It’s a egg shaped stadium 😂 it’s terrible. Barca, Madrid are staying at their grounds because they know the importance of the history. Most new stadiums are drab with no character like the emirates.

To be honest you can’t really compare our situation with Real Madrid….Madrid had the room to expand the stadium outwards, we really don’t have that. We have the railway on one side and the canal on the other. Could it be done, possibly, but it would be so expensive, and you still wouldn’t end up with best in class, which is what we deserve. Also you have to remember that Madrid’s stadium is much newer than Old Trafford (I think it was built in the 50s)…..and it was constantly upgraded. I’m 62 now, and first went to OT in 1972 when I was 10…..loads of great memories in that place - but I honestly think it’s time to move on. Plus the stadium as it is today is completely different from the one I went to as a 10 year old. It’s not for me, but for the next generation, my son and my grandson who is 7 and loves Utd. As stated previously, the design has already been laid out for completion of the stadium by original designers, to finish before the train track but the owners compromised by installed the 3rd tier cos the fans were complaining about the capacity at that time. Rebuild is not feasible without either playing in a different stadium for a couple of seasons (which would greatly harm revenue) OR buying more surrounding land to build a new stadium beside the current one. Just refurbish Old Trafford. Plain and simple solution, still by far the biggest club stadium in uk. Barcelona have on average 15,000 empty seats per game. Not guaranteed 100,000 seats sold at a new old Trafford each game. Just fix the roof for god sake! 😂

Old Trafford needs a new stadium, the stadium now is rusting and outdated, if anything serious happens in that stadium, and people are injured, there will be massive law suits, building a new stadium, yes, it will cost a fortune, but, with the supporters, and other means that the new stadium could be used for, it could be paid of a lot quicker. Then with the team, get rid of any players overpaid and not good enough for those wages, which is a lot of those players, and rebuild the squad.

That red line is wrong! The club own more of the land left than that red line! The Club is tied with the problem of the railway line. The roof design is restricted to fans sitting in the upper floors of the north East and west stands. The lower part of stands south north east and west have restricted legroom. There is no space for Big TV screens like at spurs. The concourses are cramped and there are no fan experience before or after games. No fan zones ect. Spurs can make £6m a game £2m a game more than us. We need to get back to be setting the standards on and off the pitch like we used to. New build is the best way of doing this.
