I think dbd needs more psychological horror killers. Killers that fuck with survivors vision or perception, that trick the characters through subterfuge and make them second guess themselves.

i do believe pennywise should be in dbd. but the question is how he could fight. where i agree with what you said with how we should have it feel like pennwise. this is what i suggest. we have it like a doctor alittle and other things. with things around the map you can use to mess with survivors. where a survivor triggers it they get scared going into different tiers like myers. where there could be 3 tiers. tier 1 is your character is kinda scared where skill checks could be alittle quicker due to nerves and all of that. it has pennywise starting his lust for hunger. tier 2 is where gens slow down, you see fake pallets randomly where you can interact with confusing survivors. there could be fake hex totems too that when interacting with them you get more fear. which is pennywise toying with his victims. tier 3 is the survivor is exposed. where its pennywise on the hunt ready to end you. for survivors countering it is like unknown alittle your in chase with pennywise like you got to confront your demon to beat it like the movies. where perks i have no idea yet for him. for his mori i see 2 mori's one with the survivor being tier 3 fear pennywise uses his claws and grips onto the survivor and uses the flood lights on the survivor. while the base mori could be like using the balloon with pennywise disappearing, your survivor gets up and sees a balloon floats to him as there is whispers of you float too. and it gets louder as then it pops with pennywise rushing at the survivor biting their face off like hag. i know my idea probably isnt the best and i thought of giving my opinion on it seeing what others think. thank you for reading it.

I’d like to see pennywise and the think in dbd, but my most wanted chapter has to be Jack Torrance from the shining, he would be very Interesting power wise and I’d love to see the classic music of his turned into chase music

Yeah! Jack would be awesome!! And if they go off of the book version [SPOILERS!!!!! I AM SPOILING SOMETHING ONLY IN THE BOOK] they could even add a skin where his face is bashed in from where the hotel possessed him and made him do that so he couldn't not kill Danny. They'd also be obligated to give him the roque mallet, also like the book, because we already have killers with axes.

he could have a scroll wheel similar to vecna but he transitions between a werewolf, mummy, frankensteins monster, and the spider and his base is the clown. Every time he lands a hit he turns back into the clown and that transformation goes on cool down except for the spider. While in his clown form he isn’t able to lunge similar to tier one myers but he is able to place balloons around the map that he will be able to teleport to. His werewolf form would have a lunge attack that can leap over vault windows and pallets. The mummy can enter lockers to gain an undetectable status and have aura reading of 5m around them. Frankenstein would be able to grab his electrified metal plates on his neck and electrify pallets. After you have successfully landed an attack with each of the three you can use the spider, when looking at the spider your insanity meter fills , if you become completely insane you are inflicted with the broken status effect and injured. The spider will be able to land 4 injuries before reverting back to the clown. This might be a little to OP reading that back but i still want him.

With Vecna showing we can have a killer wield multiple powers, I feel like we could give Pennywise many abilities for them to switch between. They can start the match as a DBD original killer but when they get their first smack they shapeshift into Pennywise. Their attacks could be their hands sharp shifting into claws or maybe mantis like arms. The powers they could switch could be a teleport to lockers like dredge but with only 1 teleport token. The next power could be something balloon related, a power to hide their terror radius, and maybe some power to dash since we kinda are low on dash killers.

My left field Stephen King take is Cujo for DBD?? I think it would be weird but I imagine it could be weirdly fun?? I like the idea of non human killers and Cujo just CHOMPS which would be iconic. As for It, the original It is honestly pure camp!! The whole original mini series has scary moments but overall it's almost very funny?? The remake is a lot more spooky. Definitely different and there are some strange ideas, but way less camp. Alexander Skarsgard was scary as hell as Pennywise - genuinely he MADE the films.

It's been about a year since I've read the book. But, to answer the question of "should It come to the fog?": hell-fucking-yes! I've been wanting a Stephen King character to come into DBD for SO LONG. And I wonder if anyone remembers that on the first iterations of the Swamp maps, there used to be sewer tunnels [inaccessible, of course]; think of how cool it'd be to have Derry's sewers as a map [and how claustrophobic it'd be], and maybe even having It's lair be the centre piece of that map! There's way too many possibilities for It to come into the game; but It would definitely need to be nerfed lore-wise [like Vecna] because of how powerful it is. I can't really think of concepts for powers because it's been about a year since I've read the book, but I bet others can think of some amazing things. Behaviour can definitely give it multiple powers, too! [also shown by Vecna] And if they don't go off of book It [which I'd prefer because I love Its personality in the book a LOT], I'd definitely be up for either the movie or the miniseries one! I think having Bill Skarsgard re-voicing the character would be sick as hell, and we all love us some Tim Curry

I am blanking on the name right now, but something involving the bully It manipulates as it's puppet against the Losers as children and adults could be interesting. I do not think I was playing when fear Freddy existed, but it could be something interesting to look back into - maybe make it similar to nightfall? Include items to help lower fear (the turtle, the slingshot) like the armor pieces with Vecna. I just see It more as an event takeover thing (like they are doing now with Tryx) than as a playable Killer because you are right - it has to feel like It/Pennywise.

So yk how on the ptb they give everyone auric cells so you can buy killers survivors ect, well I tend to play as killers I don't own (i have them on the ps4 but im waiting for cross progression to be added) and I play the same way I play on live, I don't sweat but I still try to win. The other day I was playing as ghost face and the very first person I find just stood there staring at me not wanting a chase, so I down and hooked them after goofing with them for like 10 seconds, I then continued to play the game as normal as I could while 2 of the 4 survivors were basically throwing just standing there not playing the game normally aka running from me and chasing. At the end of the game I was called a stinker because I "wouldn't let them test stuff" and I proceeded to say how i mainly use the ptb to play characters i dont have access to yet. THEN they told me to just buy the characters and to let them test things instead of trying to play a normal match because "its the ptb no need to be stinky" am i toxic for just wanting a normal match in the ptb???? I dont get the survivor entitlement of "the killer has to let me test the new things because its the ptb and it being the ptb means the killer has to be friendly" I just wanna play as bubba for free while i wait for cross progression so i can play him on live.

Lore wise he's about as strong as the Entity. He himself is a God of sorts. I don't think Entity can just take Pennywise. He would have to come willingly to the fog. And ur correct, he does need to feel like the character

Lore wise he is beyond the Entity. But you can honestly Allow him t just come here just like Myers. He can freely enter and exit as he chooses. They can even strike a deal and allow him to feed on their fears and stuff. Or whatever that can work within both characters lore

Stephen King is one of my favorite authors and I would love to have his work in DBD but for pennywize specifically I don't think he would fit the game. like you mentioned I think l would prefer the shinning. The overlook hotel would be a sick indoor map.

I've never seen any of the IT movies. Pet cemetery scarred me as a kid. I was banned from watching anything where animals die, but for some reason my mom thought that movie would be okay. I refuse to watch any steven king movie now. I still avoid movies if I know an animal dies in it now. :c I think it would be super interesting to see Pennywise in DBD, though. I know the lore and story of IT, and I always thought it was a cool idea.

It might be able to work. Not sure what abilities he would have. Ashapeshifting one is a must but may be difficult to pull of gamewise. Pennywise "the eater of worlds" has a fantastic lore and could fit into DBD somehow. Good idea although im partial to original killers. That 1990 movie messed up a lot of kids including myself hahaha. Read the book if you haven't. Wordy but a great read.

IT is my absolute favorite book and Pennywise has been my dream chapter since I started playing this game so maybe I'm biased but yes, I think IT belongs in the game. With how long they've been wanting Pennywise, I'm sure they have several concepts ready and while yes it'd have to be a dumbed down version of the character I'm confident they can pull it off.

Thinking about what you mentioned about its focus on fear, I wish DBD were able to do something genuinely crazy with their killers in a way that goes beyond mechanics and balancing. What if pennywise's power allowed it to take the form of something different for each survivor somehow? Say Dwight has arachnophobia and Pennywise appears as a spider, or Felix hates germs so it appears as something repulsive like a zombie, for Jake a dog/wolf, or for Feng maybe a faceless person. It would finally be something that makes each survivor different, and it would be client sided. You wouldn't have to change its mechanics depending on the form it takes, and maybe keep the general shape in a position where the lunge and the hitboxes are still reasonable. This would need much more work than any killer they've designed before and would need to be updated every time a new survivor comes out, plus there would need to be new accessibility settings for people who genuinely struggle with things like arachnophobia or trypophobia or anything else it could reflect. BHVR could ideally do things like that which would make DBD's games genuinely a unique and terrifying experience if they designed killers in such a batshit way. I understand it's unrealistic and extremely difficult on the developers part, especially after losing all those employees, but one can dream of a dead by daylight that REALLY feels like a proper immersive experience with these characters.

Like feng sees the doctor, or gabe sees Larry(the 4 main survivors would be 1 of the 3 main killers, and for paragraph survivors it would just be something random
