This is a subject that gets heated in the O&M and visually impaired community, so in true Kristina fashion, I decided to address it head-on.
Here are some links to where you can find canes and other resources.
I got the American Foundation for the Blind mixed up with another resource, the National Federation for the Blind. The American Foundation for the Blind is a wonderful resource, especially for folks who are losing their vision later in life.
American Foundation for the Blind: www.afb.org.aspx
The Braille Institute offers great programs for visually impaired kids: www.brailleins...
The National Federation for the Blind free white cane program: nfb.org/free-c...
And for the Lions Club, contact the international office and ask how you can get connected to a local club that can help you get a cane. Disclaimer, I am a member of the Lions Club. Here's the link to their main website: www.lionsclubs....
I was unable to find the manufacturer who made Stubby, but here is the link to Maxiaids, which I highly recommend visiting for all things visually impairment related. Seriously, they have 56 pages of cane options. www.maxiaids.c...

I got o&m training when I was 16. I was in mainstream schooling up until the end of year 11, here in the UK that's when you turn 16, the last two years are when you are 16 - 18 and are known as sixth form years. I went to a specialist school for kids who are visually impaired and blind. I didn't use my cane regularly until the UK went into the first lockdown. This was due to social distancing and I didn't think I would be able to do that effectively and started using my cane more regularly and now I don't go anywhere without it

If a cane will help you then absolutely you should be able to use it without having other people tell you that you can't use it. Personally, i do not use a cane, vision 20/200, i never have, and maybe it might help me a little but i don't think i will ever own one. But if something helps you don't let other people discourage you with their BS.

Have you tried to paint your eye brows darker? I think that might look good.
