Dude I love these! I stroll through the grocery store wondering how things will ferment and how it would taste. I love that you stick to the candy aisle! 😂🎉

In some ways back sweetening with the candy in question almost makes more sense than fermenting with it all in. That way you're not potentially fermenting off the flavors or otherwise putting "weird" stuff into the ferment and you're maybe more likely to get the essence of the candy. Although most won't dissolve as easily as this one...sour patch dry hop anyone? 😅

I’m brewing up things for the kids that are their favorite things like soda, cereal, candy, fruit, & veggies. When they turn 21, they will have their own starter bar of their lifetime of favorite flavors, however they may taste as a brew. 😂 some of it will of course go off to the liquor fairy that Bearded & Bored uses as well for brandy and whiskey.

Seems to me that liquor fairy is headed for busy times!

I've always found the idea of Blue Raspberry intriguing. They always present it different as well ( from product to product) a blue raspberry amalgamation bomb might be interesting.

Only to be a stickler for rules, I feel like to be in the “should it be a mead/alcohol” category it has to have fermented at least a bit of the “thing”’s sugar into alcohol :/….would be more fun/interesting. Currently it’s more like “can this be a mixer”.

What’s next? Can’t remember if you tried Werther’s Caramel mead. Or would it go off? Sole caramel candies have butter in them. Don’t know if Werther’s do.
