They are thinking that Justin Fields went through the easiest part of the Steelers' schedule and now Russ is going through the hardest part. They just lost to the Chiefs and the Ravens. Justin Fields is not winning those games. In Fields' 4 wins, the Steelers defense gave up an average of 7.25 points per game. They aren't holding a great team to under 10 points. In Fields' two losses, the Cowboys scored 20 and the Colts scored 27. If the defense doesn't win the game, Fields' can't beat a team that's not even going to the playoffs.

If you look at that horrible pick in the End Zone. The reason Justin Reid was able to drop off coverage and double up on the TE Feirmuth was because Pickens got jammed and stopped running his route deeper, thus negating the Safety (Justin Reid’s) responsibility over the top, thus allowing him to drop off coverage and pick the ball. It would be hard for Russ with the timing of that not to expect Pickens to run his route therefor negating the Safety’s ability to pick the ball. Cause as notice on that play, Feirmuth HAD his guy beat to the corner.

Russ's biggest problem is something that none of these people ever mention: He doesn't climb the pocket. He retreats and bails, usually directly into their edge or his own tackle. There are so many times where two steps forward would buy him another 2 seconds when bailing from the pocket gives him nothing.

He is known for practicing his guys what some people would say is "too hard" you know, ravens and Chiefs took some practice days off to avoid fatigue.
