Please let us know in the comment section if you have any experience with the eating of these creatures. There is some mixed opinions out there on the internet regarding these pretty significant Spider Crabs we have out here in California. During this California Spiny Lobster fishing trip we definitely caught the biggest one that either of us had come across before. If we stretched the legs out this crab probably had a leg span of about 36" if not, then pretty close. We didn't catch many lobsters on this trip out including the shorts so it was just one of those nights. We pulled up a LOT of Rock Crab along with some other neat ocean creatures as well.
