No, I don’t think we should. However, we need to remember that notes have also a cultural aspect. They are not absolute. For example in the West rose is usually considered a feminine note which is absolutely not the case in the East where men naturally wear rose perfumes.

even with the way " things"are goin nowadays, degendering fragrances would be bad for all involved, those purchasing for themselves and others wouldn't know how well it would suit who ever they were buying for and it make it harder to the brands to sell their product. ad a man who buys wears female marketed fragrances, gendering fragrances kinda let's me know what I may be getting into.

Personally, I don't think that they should get rid of gender classifications on fragrances. There are people who are not connoisseurs and doesn't quite know masculine notes or feminine notes. And the combination of notes to make masculine vibes or feminine vibes. We know that tobacco, oud, and patchouli heavy fragrances lean towards masculinity in a fragrance and could possibly blind buy. whereas someone who doesn't wouldn't. Great topic. I think that gender specific does matter. Great topic and list to go with the subject. Great work. 👍🏿

I think it's helpful to have some boundaries in certain areas, but not in perfumery anymore. We don't classify foods and their taste as feminine or masculine so the same should be the case with scents. I do enjoy wearing some "feminine scents" but the overly recognizable ones, I don't wear outside because of the association to females.

No. I'd rather them get rid of concentration classifications (edc, edt, edp, parfum etc) than gender classifications.

No, there are unisex fragrances and there are fragrances that are masculine and some that are feminine.
