Blake have you thought about planting clover instead of grass? let you goats eat all those weeds they will fertilize the area and you can plant clover it does well in time of floods too
@brockn78783 ай бұрын
Yup. Clover is the Best cover crop. We used to plant in between the rows of the marijuana plants in Cali cuz it doesn't grow tall. And its highly nutrish and delish!

I’d put arapaima in a laundry basket with a mesh cover, floating for a few days before releasing. Styrofoam as float. So it’s fully acclimated and less risk before release. Good luck.

Lowering the water level in the tank is obviously to hard to comprehend, that's why he made a video asking what he should do. I mean really if he's asking what should be done then he shouldn't have any arapaima.

Movable electric fences get sod use electric fence to protect the grass and once the grass is established then use electric fence to rotate different areas of the the grass for the critters to eat. That way once certain area grass is getting to low block that area off with electric fence and expose a different part of grass and keep doing that.

Great video Blake ❤. I think you should lower the water level in the Arapaima tank so it doesn’t hit its head. If you transfer it into the other tank there might be some repercussions. Now so far as cutting the trees 🌲 that will be a 2 day project maybe so hire 3 people. Otherwise great content as usual 😊

Hey blake if u drain the water down just a lil bit the arapima won’t hit his head on the lid and if u stack two by fours by ur side walk the chickens wouldn’t be able to get the leafs all on it and what i think u should do about the weeds is rotate ur tortoises to that area for a lil bit and let em eat em then rotate there enclosure around ur property 😎🔥

Don't you have some beautiful plecos in the other ponds? Am I remembering correctly that you have an albino? I was wondering if it would help keep the windows clean if you introduced a couple of them into the big tank. If nothing else, it would be fun to see more of them and how big they grow in a large area. Just a thought... The arapaima needs a little more room at the top of the tank to go go up for air and for feeding. It has really grown since you got it.

@@Raven_Claw-g9b Yes it's cruel, because in the wild they would have plants and stuff in their environment. I'm not here to compare youtubers and claim who is the worst animal caretaker, it was only a statement and suggestion. I think Blake takes great care of his animals, but I think those fish could have better housing.
@Raven_Claw-g9b3 ай бұрын
@archangelauriel007 It being “cruel” is open to interpretation. When you look at someone like OFR’s monster tanks, they don’t have plants because the fish just end up destroying it, yet their fish live their best lives happy and healthy. To call a un-planted monster tank “cruel” is a bit overzealous. We don’t live in the Amazon. These fish are in captivity.

WTF do you THINK you are doing? That fish grows to 9 feet long. Do you have a tank so it can turn around? Believe me I have seen kids try to pull this. In a store I once worked in there were idiots who thought it would be cool to grow out a salt water Lancelotus grouper. He had to be moved to Sea World who had doubts about THEIR abilities.

What are you doing ?
@zebedeemadness26723 ай бұрын
That would all depend on what species of Arapaima he has, untill recently there was only one recognised species of Arapaima, just Arapaima (Arapaima gigas). Now there are four recognised species (1) Giant arapaima (Arapaima gigas), (2) Mapa arapaima (Arapaima mapae), (3) Agassiz's arapaima (Arapaima agassizii), (4) Slender arapaima (Arapaima leptosoma). Two species can be found in captivity, the Giant arapaima (Arapaima gigas) that grows big, as you said with a average of 10ft, but can get bigger. The other species is the Slender arapaima (Arapaima leptosoma) with a average of 4ft, not really getting passed 6ft, the species Blake looks to have is the Slender arapaima (Arapaima leptosoma) based on the red spotting around the Doral and tail fin, that is a trait of the Slender arapaima (Arapaima leptosoma). The Giant arapaima (Arapaima gigas) has the bleeding red in between there scales. Agassiz's arapaima (Arapaima agassizii) and Mape arapaima (Arapaima mapae) are very rare and red listed.
