LA is fun to visit or vacation but you both seem so close to both sets of parents and siblings AND seem so content in an area where you can fish, hunt, go to river rafting and do country living. YOU HAVE THE BEST WORLD TO RAISE CHILDREN.

Agree with most of what you say but it would be good to not expose the kids too much to Joy’s parents. Austin’s parents seem fine and actually have time to spend with the kids.

A little tip for the pizza :) it you precook the crust a bit before putting the toppings on then cook as normal, they'll turn out great;) took me a while to learn that tip, but it works really good for me! :)

It's beautiful in SoCal! My husband and I have been thinking about moving to SoCal. Not Los Angeles, but I love the weather in CA!!! I live near Portland OR so it's just...depressing in the winter

This was a warm and fuzzy kind of video. Gideon was so sad to leave his Cousins, it made you wanna cry for him. Pray about whatever your family decides where to live. Jobs, education,climate and church are always things to consider when planning for future. The Lord will lead you in the path you should go. As a person ages they look back most say I never would have thought l would have moved or known these people if I hadn't followed my calling to... or took this job.

California has so many beautiful areas to live. I live in Palm Springs California but I was born and raised in my beautiful LA. I left to raise my kids in a slower paced community. The beauty is if I want to go to the beach, it’s 2 hours away. I was born in Santa Monica by the way. If I want to go to the mountains I’m surrounded by them and I can choose Big Bear, idyl wild or the angels forest. And I live in the desert, a growing gorgeous desert with so many diverse communities. This is my take

Lived there. Completely different, not always welcoming, culture. And it is very expensive to live in CA. Lots of hidden costs and everything costs more there. Good to visit, but stay in Arkansas, you will be glad you did.

I’m going to California in May to surprise my sister who raised me so I actually call her my mom. I love going out there but I hate leaving to come back home. I was born in Anaheim and I am a true Cali. girl. Haven’t been back home in over 9 years and can’t wait. My sister/mom will be 78 in August.

Remembere you have a LOT of family in Arkansas but just a little bit of family in L.A. My husband is from L.A. Born and raised there and lived there until he was 48 and says he'd NEVER move back to L.A. so think about the environment there as well. Your sister is doing okay but California, much like my state of Washington, is very Liberal and everyone around you will be Liberal. It would be a hard life there for you I think.

I agree. I was born in San Francisco and grew up in a suburb just 20 minutes south of SF. I don’t recognize it anymore. I left the Bay Area because it got so expensive and simply disgusting. I literally mourned for my home state.

I only came back cause mom was getting older and her health goin bad. I got a job working for the Sheriff Dept at one of the jails, so now I'm workin here and working concerts and Padres baseball on the side. Mom passed 3 yrs ago. 3 more years, I might just be goin back to Tn

Noooooo! LA is a terrible place. Especially for raising children and for your marriage! CA is going downhill fast! Live close to your parents and in laws and siblings and family if you can! They can help with marriage problems (especially your parents, I don’t know what your husbands parents are like?). Conflict will always develop in any close relationship! And they will be best support for help with problems raising teen and adult children, which will also certainly come up! That is what family is for! I wish I stayed closer to my family and didn’t move to SD to raise my children. Very narcissistic environment in CA. Too many false “Christians” in CA! You will find out what I am saying is true when you get older! I pray u listen to advice now while you are young🙏!Warn Jinger too!

Don’t do it!!!! Lived 10 years in the PAC NW and after our babies were born we ran back to the south. Taxes and policy are ridiculous. All the people flooding to the south (and Idaho) from California, WA, Oregon, New York, New Jersey, etc. are just a testament ad to how bad it is becoming to live in those states.

We’re 2 hours from the nearest airport and we have never had visiting friends and family take an Uber to the airport. We take them! That’s how you treat family and friends in the South. I’m glad it was a great visit, but, in my opinion, it was a poor send off.
