Wayne, the traditional date to take down the Christmas tree is January 6th which is the twelfth night after Christmas- the Feast of Epiphany - and marks the end of the Christmas season.

Dwyane, religiously, your Christmas tree should come down 12th night. WHich is 12 days after Christmas. It's usually between the 4th and 6th of January. I have my tree standing in water so it doesn't start loosing It's needles too soon. I would say if yours is shedding it's needs everywhere and the pine scent is gone, take it down or else you'll be vacuuming the floor constantly, which is the biggest pain.
