Should we rally a rallye??

Had a 106 rallye back when they were new.I recognise most of the roads being driven here.Great little car -revved like stink and handled really well.I was used to wild cammed minis at the time and this seemed refined and grown up by comparison.

Looking forward to seeing this 205 Rallye where it should be flat out on the back lane 🤙🏻 I would love to see you keep the 1.4 engine in it and see how much extra power you can get out of it and maybe even running it on twin 40s😉 I’ve still got my white 205rallye in the garage which I used to use for road rally and tyre testing up at trawsfynydd 😋 back in the day. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

@@stevenhearnden6103 Yes you’re correct. The 106 rallye is a 1.3. But the yellow 205 Rallye is a 1.4 engine. 🤙🏻

Bonjour! Salute! What a great little car! Had a few baguette’s in my youth! 205 Gti, AX GT……. I can still feel that lift off snap oversteer like it was yesterday. I recognise those roads too, Cross Foxes, Corris. The love of the hatch doesn’t go away does it…… must be an age thing, at 51 I’m getting that youthful feeling from a GR Yaris, nice to see your nod to that. Great videos your an easy watch 🤜🤛

I had a 106 rallye, M443 MOB (full magnex system k&n and cibie oscars) used to drive those roads regularly. Family had a caravan that way. Still some of the best roads I've driven. The run from Talyllyn lake down to Brycug is superb. Full use of both sides of the road, blind crests, it has it all. Its not quite the same in my van. Ill have to treat the clio rs next time i visit family 👌 Jonny Smith bought me here too

Discovered the channel through tlbs with Jonny (loved what you did with the Kia) great videos I look forward to seeing more from your channel. Never owned a 106 though I have Saxo vtr’s but I have had 205 gti (1.6) 206 gti (quick little rocket) and a horrible 207cc. Always loved French hot hatches

Had a black s1 since 1997. Such a fun little car to drive, be great to B road it all the way to Wales for a blast about one weekend.

Got a s1 Rallye myself as a restoration project. None sunroof model in white.. i need the standard airbox if you or anyone has one 👍🏻.. great car.. nice video, shame you didn't do a walk around the car itself..

First car I ever drove was a yellow 205 (a 1.1 GL though lol), in a field when I was 12. I've got a 208 GT arriving in a few weeks and I'm a bit emotional about it. Modern small Pugs are nothing like the 'proper' ones but what can you do? Great to see your little survivor and it needs to be rallied!

I had a N reg 106 1.6xsi in black around about 2009 I bought it for £1000 was in great condition. Ended up selling it the reg was N158 NUJ or N518 NUJ I wonder if it’s still on the road

My mate had a black s1 106 Rallye . Broke the shell landing off an humpback bridge. Written off. Price of them now o bet he wish he kept and repaired it.

Why is the rear decsl on upside down! Blasphemy!!!! And the bonnet decal is in the wrong place Still got mine, in white but with a 16v turbo engine. The old s1 wiring became unreliable
