Thought about this news when you talked about news. Trump to rely on forces that brought him to power - Russian presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev agreed that Trump, when he was still a candidate, "made many statements critical of the destructive foreign and domestic policies pursued by the current administration" MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. In his future policies, including those on the Russian track US President-elect Donald Trump will rely on the commitments to the forces that brought him to power, rather than on election pledges, Russian presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev told the daily Kommersant in an interview. "The election campaign is over," Patrushev noted. "To achieve success in the election, Donald Trump relied on certain forces to which he has corresponding obligations. As a responsible person, he will be obliged to fulfill them."

Historically Russia signed a Memorandum, the Budapest Memorandum, to safeguard the sovereign territory of Ukraine. It is of absolute no consequence how things were before that. These people need to read up on that Memorandum and then answer these questions again. Ukraine has always been a peaceful and neutral country towards Russia. So Russia has no business in Ukraine and should end this war today by leaving all sovereign Ukrainian territory. It's as simple as that.

And the fact that the constitution after 1991 was written by representatives of one country, let's not name it, and its representatives sat in our government until almost 2000. - Not interested in the development of Russia. And after they left, their representatives were left, which is still being cleaned up. This war and everything that is happening now is proof of that. So, you should blame Kerensky, not Stalin, if you wish to. "Novorossiya" was the areas conquered from the Crimean Khanate. Majority of the settlers became ethnic Ukrainians. And the claim that all cities were Russians is not as simple as that either - the Russian censuses recorded the language, and as the Ukrainian language had no official status and its use as a written language was prohibited, anyone bilingual got registered as Russian.

Crimea hasn't always been Russian, that claim simply isn't true. Not that it matters, what matters is that Crimea is internationally recognised as Ukrainian territory and Russia had no right to militarily invade it and the Donbas in 2014, conduct ethnic cleansing and fake a referendum in a conflict zone. It is unacceptable in international law for one country to militarily invade another and occupy its territory. That is why the UN General Assembly voted unanimously (bar 6 minor dissenting countries) to condemn and oppose Russia's invasions of Ukraine. It is not just the West that oppose Russia's illegal actions and support Ukraine liberating its Motherland and returning its displaced millions of citizens to their homes.

It is their nature. The 21 year old at the start wasn't even born when the USSR ended in 1991. Yet his mind could have been that of a Bolshevik commissar, advocating for how they were spreading the revolution to Poland in their invasion of it (including western Ukraine) 100 years ago. .

It crack me up when Russians claim that Crimea has always been part of Russia. Catherine the Great annexed this territory in 1783. If you're feeling generous, that is 218 year under Russian rule. It's quite a short period of time in European history, all thing considered.

Wow. With those thoughts, Russia should give it back to Greece I guess. I do not wish for Russia to not exist. Russia has always shown ways to destroy it self but it will remain Russia. Some day maybe the people will have the right to speak about the government regardless if it supports or opposes it. Hasn't happened there yet and probably not in my lifetime.

l am from Serbia, since its mentioned in this video, and l am totally against of what Russia is doing in Ukraine. Here is why, every single person in this video keeps talking about the history and how Crimea belongs to Russia, hence in their eyes what Russia is doing is justified. But by that logic, Indians should attack US and take their land back, right? Because Indians used to live on that land, so attacking US, would be completely justified, right? Another thing, people in this video keep mentioning how US is helping Ukraine, so its a war against US and not Ukraine, ok, but then again by that logic, since Russia is receiving aid from North Korea and Iran, does that mean it's a war between US, North Korea and Iran on Ukrainian soil? What is this double standard bullshiit? So, Russia who is the aggressor in this case, can receive military aid from other countries, but Ukraine which is defending itself, cannot? Wtf is wrong with these people? Putin keeps saying how NATO is expanding towards east, key word expanding, but just because you see it that way, does not make it true, what expansion are you talking about? And more importantly, who the fuckk are you decide who is going to join NATO and who won't? If Ukraine feels like joining NATO, who the fuckk are you to stop them from doing that? They have their own president, their own language, their own national anthem, borders, its a foreign country at THIS MOMENT, regardless of what happened in the past. And more thing, l have a question for everyone to think about, if Russia is always the victim, and always defending its interest, why is it the biggest country by land to this day?

Crimea has not always belonged to the Russian Federation. The Russian Federation was created at the same moment that Ukraine (with Crimea) was created, recognized by the United Nations. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, not the facts. That hasn't sunk in apparently.

Ukraine (without Crimea) was a founder member of the United Nations in 1945. Crimea was transferred to Ukrainian control by Stalin [EDIT: No, it was Khrushchev!] in 1954 (with long-term agreements about use of military facilities, which proved really useful to Putin in 2014).

Somehow, to Russians, there is always one rule for them, one rule for every other nation. Each other country is counted by their present administrative structure as for their beginning of legitimacy. Russia, on the other hand, is counted as always and eternally the same, no matter if it was communist, monarchist, or oligarch-democratic. It's how they can look at western countries as shallow, modern, devoid of depth and richness of culture, when, in fact, most of them have been distinct civilizations centuries or millennia before Russia existed.
