As someone who’s lived with an ED as you so publicly speak about, this title is beyond insensitive, and I’m truly shocked. During my recovery I took strength from you but this is absolutely disgusting, anyone with a vulnerable state of mind will now go and research this drug as a weight loss method, regardless of the context of the video. You know as well as I do that your brain manipulates things when you’re unwell, and seeing the word ‘weight loss’ we will do anything to achieve it. I never in my life have commented on a video before, usually I keep my thoughts to myself, but this is too far and could seriously impact someone’s life. 💔

If someone was going to search for a weightloss medication, it would be very easy to find Ozempic, by doing a quick google search. I have struggled with bullimia and purging among other things and this is the exact kind of video I wish I had seen. It was such a level headed discussion. I have taken Ozempic but didn't loss weight, instead I just lost a lot of money.

I’ve been following Anna for years find her recovery journey truly inspiring. However, I find this video very disappointing given so many of your audience are so vulnerable having been or are on a similar journey recovering from eating disorders. So much of this content is helpful, such as Matt being so vulnerable opening up about his story too, but the inclusion of ozempic and the title is a misstep 💕

I was answering the question that was asked in the title, aswell as giving my opinion after watching their discussion. They never mentioned the fact that Ozempic is a medication for people with diabetes -and when you Google it, also heart disease or in some cases weight loss in people with serious obesity. Not mentioning that in their discussion is a glaring oversight. Maybe they forgot, or just don't know. But they were talking about it like it's just a drug for general weight loss, which it isn't. You can't talk about this without talking about WHY it's prescribed to people and why people who take it outside of those clinical diagnoses SHOULD NOT be taking it. It's essentially drug abuse. The question is simple and a non starter in my opinion.

As a pharm tech - absolutely not. First of all - this medication is used to help people with diabetes. If you use it for ANY other reason, such as weight loss, you risk severe healthproblems along the way, because it HAS been causing severe healthproblems, and that's even without knowing the longterm effects on your body. Influences, celebs, anyone who's promoting it and who don't have diabetes are the reason why people with diabetes are struggling to get it, because there is a WORLDWIDE shortage due to this. also just titling this video like this, while looking like you do? it is distasteful, and i'm deeply worried that people will look at this, see the title, don't watch the vid, and get severe issues and get send into an ed themselves. and from people who say they're recovered from it? you should know better.

I'm desperate to try ozempic but can't afford it. I'm type 2 diabetic and have lived with pcos all my adult life. I've struggled so much with my weight and have been begging my gp for help. Ozempic is amazing for those who genuinely need it for health reasons but I'm so not OK with its mainstream use for weight loss.

I’m unable to get my insulin in the uk for type 1 diabetes due to shortage of the pens they use due to this new medication people are using! People who don’t need it are using it, which is causing type 1 diabetes being unable to live as we can’t get insulin that we need to live off!

I debated for a while about watching this video. This whole ozempic/trulicity/mounjaro/wegovy issue hits home for my family. My hubby has type 2 diabetes and was taking trulicity. He had to switch to mounjaro because all the pharmacies in our area were out of trulicity because of people using it for weight loss. Wegovy is the one people who do not have diabetes should use, it's actually the only one that is fda approved for weight loss. I know the title is clickbait, but it feels flippant to people who are affected by people taking it for things it isn't approved for.

Ozempic is meant for obese people not for vanity. People who need to loose less than 50 lbs get up and move and change how you eat. Severely overweight people need the assistance from several sources including a drug to loose weight for their overall well being. I feel people who need to loose minimal weight are taking advantage of the drug for vanity purposes. This is a drug meant to stay on its not a fad.

I love that you’re talking about eating disorders for men too, I work in a male dominated world and it breaks my heart how often my male colleagues who are amazing people hate on themselves not just for weight but almost like there’s a culture of they’re not allowed any self love. I’m 4 yrs recovered from bulimia. I had disordered eating for 15 yrs and never once dipped into the ‘underweight’ category according to the BMI. Took ages to be taken seriously and get proper help as was just being told I wasn’t skinny enough…in my bulimia brain that just meant challenge accepted.

I'm almost 18 and I've a problem with my body image for half of my life. But four years ago I stopped eating and I was really underweight and I was in a hospital for four month but it didn't work. Now I've gain weight and passed from anorexia to boulimia and my experience is so like yours Anna! I'm trying to recover but it feels so impossible. You truly don’t know what goes on behind closed doors and have thought for so long now how brave Anna has been on this subject. @cindell23 I don't think it's responsible to claim that this is a nuanced situation when it really isn't. There's nothing to discuss. Ozempic is a medication for diabetes. There's no safe way to take it if you don't have diabetes or a medical condition that it is licensed for use for...you will literally damage your body.
