I feel like Module Leizi has a better skill cycle during SSS and IS2, which is where most chain casters really shine imo. I've yet to test a maxed Astgenne in SSS, so hopefully I'll see something interesting in that regard. I sort of made it my mission to raise every chain caster in the game, since I ended up leveling Leizi and Passengod on release.

I built her. She's pretty solid. I love chain casters. Thing is, I can't tell if she's actually better than Pudding. Everyone is better than Leizi, but Pudding is a durable operator so I'm not sure which is better. Astgenne's skills don't really compare because they are so different.

6:08 Offensive recovery on chain casters is ridiculously good. That's basically what the IS2 relic does for Godsenger -- turning his skills into offensive recovery. Granted the relic is 2 SP, but still -- it gives a good idea of how OP a chain caster with offensive Skills would be, since it grants SP on all the chained hits.

If offensive recovery in add into a skill, it would be per attack, not per hit See swordmaster 2 hit but only recover 1 sp.

Astgenne is fantastic for SSS (atleast Iron Carrot Mine and Toron Mine, haven't tested Glebe yet). If you stack 5 Snipers and then deploy Astgenne on top, all enemies get slowed down permanently (so long as you've got the module stage 2 or 3 and the talent has kicked in). Combine that with Ethan S2 and maybe Shaw S1 or S2 and you will not need to block anything ever again.

Brought her along in the new SSS mine and good God man, that boss stage is hella annoying. With some ASPD up Astgenne did fairly well to hold one lane until Eyja needed to take over for the extra damage. If only the danger level had a cap, I might not have had to swap her out.

Personally, I would say that Module Lv2 is good enough. The material cost for Lv3 is too expensive for only a +4 ASPD increase. On a slightly unrelated note, I would find her undoubtedly powerful if she has Leizi’s Lv2/3 module, especially while using Skill 1.

She is odd for me. Pudding handle early game pretty good, and Leizi with even lvl 2 module is crazy good, much better than Astgenne, can't say anything about Passenger since I don't have him

Pudding is cheapest and she is very durable. She deals high dmg and has good skills. You can E2 and max her easily. Passenger is very good (a beast at max) but costs a toooooon of resources. Leizi is trash. Astgenne is pretty good. I've E2d her already. Thing is, she operates more like a DPS caster whereas Pudding is a very good AOE caster. She is pretty expensive to E2 though. I say spend first on Pudding and then start slowily investing in Passenger. Astgenne is a maybe.

As I Remember You Have to Clear DV4 Mission ... Then Claim " Asgenne Reward " I will Clear/Farm Dv 5 6 7 8 to get Her Potentials , Dont Worry About Events , Just Focus on to Build Good Squad . I Started 5 Months Ago , Now I Cleared Every Event in the last 2 Months ...Astgenne is Very Good but Not Essential or Mandatory , You can Search Arknights-Tier List Operators in KZbin or Internet, to Build Good Squad in the Beginning ( Then Clear Every Event )

Rather than tier list, I'd suggest Kukkikaze's Arkpedia videos, tbh. Especially episode 1 to 2 or 3, it's quite helpful while also giving you leeways in decision making. While focusing on building your squad is important, events also give you materials you can use to raise your operators (which includes Astgenne's potentials if you want to get it, a lot of EXP, books, and LMD), so try to do the event as far as you can and farm there. Even when you can't use those since your units are currently capped and don't have the chips required, just having those in your account already lessen the burden of farming off event.

Gitano is a solid AOE is you need a better AOE. But you'd be best off investing in Pudding. She's way mroe bang for your buck in terms of chain casters.

It's Not necessary, most of the time you are fine with only one Multi-target caster in a stage, and Passenger is a great Chain-caster (he's a 6 star and all)

Never used a chain caster before, so nope, will not build her. Bro, just use an aoe caster or something if you want wave clear. Will still look at her r18 tho, rare piece but always welcome.

Chain casters are good in SSS mode since they provide AOE slow support without needing to use their skills. Stack 5 sniper buffs on them and you get permanent AOE slow. I recommend building at least one.

You need to reassess. Chaincasters are better than the majority of AOE casters. Their ability to slow and deal heavy dmg makes them far more effective in most cases, especially when facing waves of heavy rnemies that deal high dmg.
