I have the 10 speed and also felt that disconnect sometimes - with a manual you feel more connected to the car. However, if I run in Sport+ mode it helps a ton. Coming in to a corner like that, it'll downshift when you're on the brakes and hold lower gears as you accelerate. Feels good.

Mustang GT's have come a long way since 2000 when I bought my brand new red one with a manual. The clutch was like a leg-press machine at the gym. After spending thousands on mods, it still didn't quite make 300 WHP but it was fun and sounded great with headers and Flowmasters. For cars, auto transmission is better because auto transmission shift faster than manual transmission. Why? Because there are a seconds delay between shifts. Our local dealer sells more manual than automatic mustangs even though most Mustangs on the lot are automatic. I drive a manual Bullitt and I will not have it any other way.
@bk138gt64 жыл бұрын
How do you like the bullit? Do you have it in that awesome green color?
@nsbioy4 жыл бұрын
@@bk138gt6 an awesome machine that is very comfortable to drive, fast, and draws a lot of positive attention vibes. The Bullitt is not the fastest, but is probably the best looking stock Mustang. The exhaust sound is unbelievable for stock exhaust, but GT350 is considered by some to be as good or better. The Bullitt is a cheesy toy car, but it's intended to be that way so it fits my lifestyle well. Use it as a toy/weekend car rather than a daily. A regular GT is a better daily car because it is just as fast and comfortable, but is cheaper. Yes, mine is dark green. A gorgeous color.
@edmedm79934 жыл бұрын
nsbioy I own one as well, and I wouldn’t change it for anything else! However the Bullitt has way too long gear ratios for my taste and a rather small gas tank. Well I guess no car is perfect.
@nsbioy4 жыл бұрын
@@edmedm7993 agree on gears being a little too long, i would have preferred at least the second gear to be shorter.
@blar96064 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I have the Bullitt (Shadow Black) and the only thing I would like to change is the gearing. Going through the gears sure is fun - but you end up going much too fast - much too soon. Would have been more fun with shorter gears. But still - the best car I have owned and I love it 😎

🐎💨The Rev-match feature adds so much fun and character that’s signature to the Mustang experience. Having a manual made it easier to follow the recommendations during the break in period. I varied my RPM’s by selecting different gears at cruising speed. Also I avoided full open throttle or bogging the engine down during that period. Other driver aid features such as Hill Assist takes getting used to. It really works but doesn’t feel natural so you must briefly delay your power through efforts as the hold automatically releases.

I have a 2018 Manual Mustang GT and never once gave the 4 inch screen much thought. I see it just fine and have no problems using the radio controls and seeing the backup camera. I didn't buy a Mustang for the screen, and I wasn't willing to spend extra to get a bigger screen. Nope, used that money for custom wheels and a mod to my clutching system. A screen that's good enough, is good enough.

I would've done the 6-speed in mine, but you don't get to take advantage of a number of integrated tech features (remote start anywhere in the world via the FordConnect app, for example) unless you have the 10-speed. It's unfortunate, because I honestly hate the 10-speed. It's clunky, always searching for gears, and just generally makes the car less pleasant/fun to drive.

Honestly depends on personal preference or lifestyle. The 6spd manual would be much better for someone that doesn't deal with alot of traffic and lives in an area with alot of twisty roads or just want to go with the old school classic muscle car approach. The 10spd auto, however, would be much preferred if someone lives in cities (New York, California, etc.) with lots of traffic where a manual wouldn't make much sense. The auto makes it much easier to drive in general, and most normal car buyers that purchase cars would probably buy the 10spd auto anyway. I'd be happy with either transmission if I was given a mustang as a gift.
@evann54514 жыл бұрын
Basically, it just comes down to can you drive a manual, and are you willing to live with having to shift every gear by yourself, even in heavy traffic. Since I personally don’t have much experience driving a manual (only driven one a few times), I would go with the automatic, as long as it has the paddle shifters
@donaldoc4 жыл бұрын
I'd prefer the six speed manual, however, two things... (1) Due to my mobility issues, the auto would be an easier choice. (2) I don't fit, in one, like I once did! 😰 Thoroughly enjoy these comparison videos! Thank you for doing these types of reviews! 🏁🏁

Buyer BEWARE of the MT-82. Ford Care ghosted me on the grinding issue and would not help. The dealer then helped me into a 2024 10speed perf pk. Very happy and I love the car but I would hate for someone else to go through what I did. If an MT-82 is in the equation just go for the 10 speed, it's fine.
