I'm really glad I found you here on KZbin. You're the one that I can really relate to and come back to. I save all your videos that apply to me in my life . I hope that I'm able to maybe ask a question if I have any because I'm about ready to buy my first pop up! I hope you and your family are doing well and happy travels!

I just purchased 18ft, 3 side pop out, jayco 99 one owner pop up for 1200. This beauty has been well cared for. Even had new tires and a awing. So it is very possible to get nice trailer for very little if you look around.

I live in CO and we regularly disperse camp in the mountains, usually around 7-9k ft sometimes more, and often go through/over the continental divide or other high passes. We have a moderately lifted Nissan Frontier (about 3" lift, 32" tires), would you not recommend a pop up in our scenario? Currently we have a rooftop tent but looking to get something we can stand in and with the low payload of my truck, I figured a popup would be the way to go vs a slide-in camper.

I haven't experienced the high winds through the passes in the Rockies, but I would just say keep an eye on the wind. Pop-ups can get fishtaily being so short! And make sure you use a good drop hitch with the lift, try to make it as level as possible. -Simon
