I know the R&D is crazy expensive for carb legal performance parts. However, I honestly believe that companies like Magnuson missed a golden opportunity with Toyota/Lexus vehicles. They would have made a killing with a SC Kit since many vehicles share engine platforms. The Magnuson SC KIT for the 5.7 Tundra is still a sought after kit that is carb legal

The LC is scattered all over Florida, especially the convertible as you would imagine. I currently own the RCF, a little bit lighter and faster than the LC. Seems like now the RCF is more rare than the LC in my area. Eventually, I'll get an LC because it's just a work of art.

You’re right, as an owner we tend to like the trac pad. The issue is it takes some getting used to. A day review isn’t going to get u there, hence the bad press.

As a PhD in Computer Engineering, my wife and I are finished acquiring the latest cars. We are content with our forever cars: a 2021 Silver AWD Lexus LS 500 (wife's daily driver), a 2020 Army green 4Runner TRD PRO (long-distance trips with the dogs), a 2016 3" lifted blue-pearl TRD Sport Tacoma with a 6' bed with over-sized K02's 4x4 tires (my daily driver) with a custom "barbed-wired" headache rack, and our emerald green 2013 MR2 Convertible (1/2-1 day trips---you can't fit much luggage or souvenirs in a 2 seater). I do minor maintenance---oil changes, replacing oil and air filters, checking the liquids, etc, on all the cars. We are a Toyota family for two reasons: their cars are reliable and have no-frills technology. We considered buying an LC but already have a 2-seater for weekend getaways.

It sounds to me like just about all of your negative issues were caused by you. Why didn’t you just leave the car alone the way the Lexus engineers designed it? Every change you made affected the entire car. Lexus engineered this car to work with the computer system. By changing the wheels, you affected the suspension geometry and the car feels when you drive it. If you start monkeying around with the engine, trying to get more power, you’re going to further affect how the car performs. This car was designed by experts and even though it’s your car, if you would just leave it alone, it would serve you well. As for the trackpad, why don’t you read the owners manual? Find the section on voice command and you will sell them. Need to use the trackpad at all. Try to remember this entire car is an integrated package designed to work as perfectly as possible, as it comes from the factory. Once you start modifying the car, unexpected results can, and often do happen. That isn’t Lexus’s fault. That is your fault. One last thing, if you would run through the set up program on your infotainment system, you can set the sensors so that, you really don’t need a front camera. They will sense curbs, posts and any other object. By lowering the car, you threw that system off completely. It’s your car. Do whatever you want. Just remember, the people at Lexus tried to make the very best carpossible.

Oh where do I begin? Oh boy.. The tie rod issue was found before the car was lowered. Easy fix so no worries. I actually like the track pad, but that sultry voice command probably won’t work for me as I’m screaming that V8 greatness. Ever heard of Kuhl? Liberty Walk? Both massive Japanese brands who have taken the LC to crazy limits. Akira Nakai from RWB? The work he does to Germany’s arguably best brand…Porsche? But thank you for the comment. The LC is amazing and I think we can both agree on that. 🙏

Cars are precisely engineered from top to bottom. If you think aftermarket parts and modifications will “improve” anything, then God bless you, man.

Bruh we gotta work on your content I love the LC there’s a lot more you could go over. Love the openness but as a fellow Texas and Dallas resident we gotta see more in depth review. Also there’s a RCF supercharged out there it can be done. There wasn’t turbo kits for a lot of things until you are the first!

There is no comparison to make. Concerning the LC500 Tuning, ask TJ HUNT. But i think that would be compromising the reliability and the soûl of the car.

I have had two convertibles. I really didn't like either of them. The lines of hardtops are much better. I've been told convertibles are to be driven with the top down. Tell me that in January. The LC500 is a really nice looking car. It's dependable. It's relatively inexpensive to repair. You need faster, go buy a jet.

The part where you park far away from others...I do the same with my GT350. I get so paranoid. I have a Lexus ES as a daily and it feels so much easier on my nerves to park anywhere.

You could of bought a performance strut way cheaper and just replaced all 4, you pay $170 for an old change you definitely NOT A CAR GUY. You can change your oil in 15 minutes you can't drive to the dealership in 15 min besides waiting around or even if the give you a loaner it still is longer then 15 minutes, you need to learn how to source parts and wrench on them

@@jamesharding6183 I could change my own oil if I wanted to. I’m an extremely busy person so I choose to have it done. It’s not that I don’t know how to. The LC has adaptive struts. You don’t put just any strut from autozone on this car.

It’s hard to tell since I put the wheels and springs on at about the same time. Definitely noticeably rougher but not bad.

trust me, you don't want the is500. I just bought a brand new is500 2024, drove for a month and traded in for an LC500. You just can't compare these two. The is500 is super floaty, unstable, and unconfident on winding road, which is a shame. It drives like a luxury family sedan. Heck, even the bmw 340i rides a lot more planted. The steering is also awful. Seat not as good as LC either. The LC is solid, feels much like my 2019 Panamera turbo when it comes to chassis feel/handling. I would probably get a GR86 or something more track focused to play with long with the LC if I were you. And an SUV to haul ppl/stuff around.

@@lmmedia9694 52k is very cheap! I would make sure the title is clean. If you like the rim and aero then thats a great deal. I personally bought the best deal LC I could find at the time with 20" wheels because I knew my plan for this car before I bought it. Check the CarFax. If it has good history then I would not be worried about the warranty. Mine was a one owner, full maintenance history so I bought mine out of warranty. Its a Lexus.. it will last forever!

I understand your concern and I can assure you my eyes are on the road. I mix my mounted GoPro and handheld shots. Im extremely careful with my driving and vigilant of my surroundings. Unfortunately I pass more people with heads down and staring down at their phones on daily basis. That pisses me off.
