So to claim my own idea of how I'd change this "all rounder + speedster" problem--they need to have a "brawler" passive.. like Garchomp getting faster the longer he attacks is so scary, and so good. I think ceruledge needed something like that to make it less like a speedster assassin

Agreed, I would love to see more water types with more aquatic-based movement types and body plans. Give us some fish, some crabs, some clams, whatever. There are so many water types and yet most of them in Unite are just bipeds. Unfortunately we're probably just going to get Swampert and Empoleon instead.

I don't claim to be an expert inside of pokemon unite, but it does give me some real speedster vibes for an all rounder. That being said, I'd like to see some more attention on supporters. I really wish the game was better set up for supporters to thrive outside of top tier gameplay

Been playing psycho cut and phantom force. I run muscle band, energy amp/attack weight and Curse Bangle. It feels like I have everything I need to be useful. Armor shred for me and my team, aoe heal cut, and true damage to finish enemies off or defend goals and so much damage from ult to coinflip games. I also take shedninja doll. It’s insane the amount of time he can stall with invincibility. I’ve gotten some insane outplays on multiple enemies vs just me with one HP going all over the place with invincibility. Crazy character.

Personally, when I claim a pokemon for my roster, I just want it to be fun. I think that ceruledge fits that perfectly from what I've seen and videos and have used it for via rental licenses. Phantom force seems great in certain situations to dodge unite moves, and psycho cut looks like it has a lot of really good overall burst damage. Definitely want to pick this thing up!

Mh first few matches i was grtting mopped. But then i learned how it moves how to utilize the basic attack to its fullest. Bitter blade was definitely a learning curve now i know how to use it best and where my weaknesses are. I absolutely love this pokemon!

The unit move looks epic, but the rest is kinda meh at the moment. All of that will change of there's even a slight buff, which normally is what I would be waiting for, but not this time. I'm keen to get as much practice in as possible using it, before any buff, then I'll be ready to go nuts and hopefully get some great team results. I think it would work really well with a SlowB or Crustie as a team damage/ defend pairing. With that combo we could claim some wins for the team! I can only hope! Great wrap up vid btw. Totally agree with your view on Falinks. It's a lot of fun to play!

I just love the play of most all rounders I mained only them before I branched out and learned to play more. I saw Falinks and knew I wanted to actually use it (I'm loving Beat up, Iron Head), but with Ceruledge I just kinda want it so I can have fun and play some mess about games with it, feels like it would be fun to mess about with whilst playing with some friends. Not gonna stop me from going to claim my own tho ;)

I'm so glad you also noticed the unite move low sensitivity. My sensitivity is set pretty high, if not max, and going to aim the unite move always throws me off. I'm not sure why they didn't link it to your desired setting. Also, I can't see myself putting it in A tier. B+ sure. A tier mons, at least to me, need to be able to hold their own more often than not and Ceruledge is too squishy for a melee all rounder with almost no sustain. Unite move is awesome with incredible burst and can easily set up multi KO's but outside of that, good luck diving multiple mons without a level lead. Could be skill issue too so I'm keeping that in mind. Interested to see where Ceruledge finds itself in the meta.

P.S: in the beginning of the video you talked about how Phantom Force negates damage such as Icycle Spear-Icycle Spear actually hits Ceruledge through Phantom Force. This has happened to me and a lot of others. I haven’t tested anything yet but I think there are some moves that do ignore Phantom Force or Phantom Force might bug sometimes. Maybe it only happens to sure hit moves??

Phantom Force only makes you untargetable, not invincible. You still eat all of the damage from abilities (namely aoes) with the downside of not being able to see your own health bar.

ceruledge looks crazy fun. i messed around with it a little in the practice room when it dropped, and it felt pretty satisfying to play! its not super high priority for me (im f2p and low on coins, so im forced to be frugal), but it definitely has my attention. I'll have to mess around when i get the limited license so i can see how it feels in an actual match. im a meowscarada main though, and ceruledge feels a bit similar in some ways, so im not sure itll be worth getting for me anytime soon

I like bitter blade because it heals me combined with flame charge allows me to do so shenanigans that I like. Plus it has allowed me to 1v5 on rare occasion when I feel warmed up. Bitter blade heals for the dmg you do so if you hit multiple targets which is what the move is intended for you last significantly longer in battle

Ceruledge so far looks pretty fun, tho worry it may be a bit squishy? Leaning towards the psycho cut build since yeah the bitter one recovers but idk would need to test it in practice a bit more. Also phantom force seems really good for escaping certain damages, but definitely takes a bit of getting used to since you can miss with it if you dash too close to the enemy. I do wonder if curse items would be good against it? Might be worth a try even if it depends on the moveset the enemy chooses.

I think a good change to bitter blade would have it interact with the wound stacks. Like if it made the wound damage increase for like 3 seconds or something. Wound overall just feels like its just tacked in there imo

I bought him! Not a good start with the win rate but I love the gameplay. I love how fast everything is happening with Ceruledge, love the chase downs, love the hit and runs! Just need to be better in being effective in team fights, how I can use him more efficiently, and my rotation. Bad start, but loving the Pokemon!

So overall a rather nice addition to the roster and another solid Gen 9 addition. I do wonder what comes after it though. After all, there are those that are trying to claim Ho-oh is next, but I don't know if that's really the case or not. Still, it has felt like months and it will be nice to restart the speculation train on which pokemon are next to join Unite.

Cereuledge is one of my favorites of gen 9. Lately, I have beeh appreciating it even more since the new horizons anime. Additionally, cereluedges blend of burst and dash seems like a fun playstyle. I do wonder how it will fair among other all rounders. My hope is that Spragels notices what I've done here and I'll be able to check it out for myself.

I'll be honest ceruledge has been one of my favorite pokemon since coming back into the Pokémon universe. The last game I played before my break was Pokémon Platinum. Then I started playing Pokémon Scarlet and saw that I didn't get ceruledge. Many people claim that armorouge is better but I believe that ceruledge is the best of the two. In short I'll get this pokemon for sure. After watching your live stream earlier I realize that it isn't the best but I love it as a Pokémon so I'll end up getting it in a week when it's free. So glad it's in the game, definitely one of the cooler new designs from Scarlet and Violet. The only thing that could have made this better and add a cool layer to it being an all-rounder (I don't claim to be a good designer by any means) would have been if they offered a split evolution choice in game where you can go Ceruledge if you wanted the speedster/brawler mix or go Armarouge if you wanted ranged dps

You could claim it isn't as elaborate as other mons in the game, but I love how Ceruledge's moveset seems to be inspired by anime swordfighters. That small instant on its unite move where it stuns opponents before dealing the damage HAS to be a way to portray in gameplay the cinematography of similar finishers in anime.

After trying Ceruledge out a bit, I think Ceruledge is neither an all-rounder nor a speedster. He just kinda rides the line inbetween both roles. I feel like there has been a weird pattern of Timi making these hybrid-role pokémon and classifying them as all-rounders, for example in the early days we had Lucario, Machamp and Tsareena being a hybrid of both roles, and recently we had Mimikyu, Blaziken and of course, Ceruledge, falling under the same category. Heck, even Zacian and Dark-Urshifu can claim to be such All-rounder-speedster hybrids. Regardless, Ceru seems really fun, I'll probably buy him once he becomes available as a coin purchase.

Ceruledge looks so cool!!! There are tons of all-rounders right now, tho, so we probably need something else, something outstanding from him to claim it as our first pick option when it comes to all-rounders; specially with Falinks out there. Overall a very cool design

I personally claim that Falinx is a stronger pick, I enjoy how the moves mesh together and give a different outcome depending how you use it, I would love for more Pokemon to be made like that. Ceruledge does look cool and has an awesome unite move.

This is such a cool Pokémon I’m glad it is receiving such high acclaim from people! I have 100k coins that I’m sitting on so I’m definitely going to wait until it comes out for coins to buy it, but I’ve been using it with a trial license and I agree it’s very fun!

i might just have to get ledge. im more into aegi than mimi so i feel that while yes, spragels personally finds psycho cut more fun, id personally have to go w bitter blade. Also, as one of my fav mons i claim a bias towards bitter as its signature, so theres that.
