I’m in the middle of my first and only run, Blue Lions, of course. I’m loving it so far!! Story is DAMN good. Of course, you need to play three houses to fully understand the story of three hopes, but to me that’s just your run of the mill spin-off material. I absolutely agree that at times the story makes you feel like you’re seriously taking part in a war, and even the notorious gameplay aids in that feeling at times. The world building was my favorite part of Three Houses, and this game only builds it beyond what I thought possible!

Oh interesting! You're not gonna try out the other two routes? I'm very curious to see how Golden Wildfire goes since it doesn't seem like Dimitri will die so tragically in it like last time lol. It is interesting for sure! But I understand why they didn't want to retread introductions because Three Houses is a thing haha. I do love the tone of the game! Feels like a mix between the optimism of the academy phase, but with tension because of the war.

I do agree it's an interesting tone from Three Houses! It's like the characters aren't as depressed in their supports and you can feel they've known each other for a while :)

About the whole Byleth vs Shez as a protagonist thing. I especially appreciate how Shez got a choice to explain why he agrees with Edelgard and it delves deeper into why Edelgard feels she needed to start the war. Where since Byleth was a mostly silent protagonist, you don't get that moment of reasoning. Most fans who played Three Houses really have to dig to see Edelgard's point of view. Which if someone never wanted to play as Black Eagles because they're apparently, "EEEEEVIIIIIL!", then they'd never get the chance to find it. But in Hopes, fairly early on, you get that option to see Edelgard and Shez actually talk things out in detail. Now that's something I really appreciate.

I do think that it is more fascinating to see a protagonist with reasons for actually siding with the characters they do. Byleth definitely had the air of "I agree because I agree" with no reasons to back it up. And Shez does indeed act different depending on the protagonist which makes it much more of a dynamic relationship.

i don't think i mentioned it but i never played a fire emblem game before sure i have seen many videos of fire emblem but i never got the chance to play any in the game series myself i might now my mind could change but i might end up getting Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes

The gameplay definitely is easier to get into for sure! Though I do recommend Three Houses as both an introductory Fire Emblem and an introduction to the universe. Luckily, there is a demo out you can try :) Hope you like it regardless!

I'm usually not into Warrior games as all. The last FE Warriors game seemed "meh" and the gameplay was never my style, but maybe I'll give this a shot if I can eventually find a good deal- you sold me with this review. Thanks for watching ^^ Honestly, Age of Calamity and this one really stepped up their game. Warriors format is slowly transforming into a more competent franchise. I agree, the former FE Warriors is so ridiculously bland compared to this one honestly.

What's your opinion on the game now? I personally think the game peaked too soon on all routes and the endings were all disappointing and lackluster. I do appreciate all the added lore and Improvements to camp. I think I still with Tree houses.

It did fade for me a bit but I think I still hold most of the same opinion! I definitely agree it peaked way too early. Every route is VERY exciting for the first half, and I think that's what sort of tricked me into thinking the plot could compare to Three Houses. That being said, compared to your average Warriors game, it's still very excellently told. Three Houses is still king but this game is a lovely companion piece if you want more 🤔 Played all three routes, loved the new lore, had a ton of fun with the gameplay! The endings were pretty bad. Still salty af that we didn't get ANY downloadable content considering how well it sold apparently.

@@TreeckoBro Here' in my opinion how the endings to each route should have ending. Scarlet Blaze: Instead of the three way battle happening then Edelgard moves to Garreg Mach, Edlegard moves directly to Firdiad where Rhea moves to intercept with some Kingdom prominent at the Talitien plain. After a hard fight the church is defeated and Edelgard moves on Fhirdiad like in Crimson flower only Dimitri is the final boss and Rhea dying at Talitien. Dimitri after watching all his friends die or betray him, snaps and using some short of magic, gains extreme power and is a bear to take down. Edelgard kills Dimitri but actually show sympathy for him at the end and actually sheds a few tears as she embark on reforming Fodlan. Azure Gleam: Instead of the battle happening at Aillel, Dimitri and the kingdom army moves to attack Endarr with promise of Alliance support. However As Dimitri and the blue Lions attack the Alliance never arrives and they have to deal with Duke Aegir and his son Ferdinand alone. They eventually truimph killing both of the Aegirs but Edelgard is nowhere to be found. While they wonder what's going on a message from Rhea who is commencing an assualt on Garreg Mach as the Kingdom invades Enbarr and that they were mor troops there then expected. The kingdom army races toward Garreg Mach but on the way they are ambushed by Claude who deciedes to betray the Kingdom. The Kingdom is nearly routed until none other then Hubert comes in. to rescue and Claude being killed in the fighting. Hubert explains he has been waging a secret war in against the Agarthins and explains Edelgard been brainwashed and is in Garreg Mach. The battle of Garreg Mach would be mostly the same as before with Hubert but the final boss will be Thales and Hegemon Edelgard. After defeating them Dimitri instead of akwardly walking away extend his hand to the fallen Edelgard and pulls her up and works with Hubert to regain her memories. Golden Wildfire: I feel Claudes route would have to put more changes in part 2 but for the. last few chapter. Claude goes to Garreg Mach but find Edelgard betrays him for his past treachery turning this into three way fight between the lords. Claude manages to win but just recieves word that an Almyran army led by the king of Almyra has taken Fodlans throat and is invading Leister. Claude immediatly rushes back and defeats a small Almyran army on the way. Claude reaches Fodlans throat and meets with his father who appears utterly dejected that Claude has killed Khalid. The king agrees to give an honarable duel with him and his most trusted generals against the golden deer. Expect the king to ride on a dragon, for the fight. The king loses and begs Claude to kill him but Claude refuses to kill his father. The king leaves with the message then my son Kaled lives no more. Claude realizing all the evil his done attempt to make peace between Adrestia and Faergus, which takes three years and with Claued now set on making things right with Almyra. What do you thing of my endings?

Wait, you made a review Before you completed any of the routes? Honestly, you probably should have completed them first. From what I saw from the leaks, the endings are pretty bare bones and offer very little closure. (I.e, the war continues in most endings and no character epilogues- paired or otherwise).

I like them all but I do think Three Houses is in a league of its own honestly! I think the closest is probably Shadows of Valentia but honestly the roster just doesn't compare to the students I think
