When it was first launched, I checked it out. It didn't make any sense at that time because of the asking price. But what drew me towards it was handling and mainly the looks! It looks literally looks almost similar to the Grand Cherokee. Price slash is a good thing. Many will buy the lower variants just for the looks and handling.

Hi, I own a jeep compass for almost 6 now. It’s a great car. Love the JEEP brand. But the second seat comfort is not so great. If ur travelling for long hours (more than 3-4hrs) , u’ll lose ur patience very easily. On rural roads where there are more road undulations , if ur seating in second row u’ll get un comfortable very easily. It ill be a great drive for the driver and very comfortable for the co passenger but not so great for second row seat passengers. So personally I’ll driver very cautiously or avoid going on rough roads so the passengers at back doesn’t feel uncomfortable. Considering all that I thought when I wanna upgrade from compass meridian will be a good choice as it got a long wheel base and all. But seeing JEEP fail in India even though it’s a good brand with good cars and less assuring after sales support from dealers , again upgrading to another JEEP doesn’t make sense to me. I feel that JEEP needs to maintain its premium build and performance for Indian roads and Indian driving mentality to survive in India . And they did a nice job with this meridian 2024. If they continue to re-engineer and bring in more comfort and little less ruggedness into their products with their premium build quality JEEP will be a desirable car in India.

Also I checked Base model has all features Touchscreen Alloy wheels All 4 disc brakes So apart from the 6.5L(almost 25%) that goes out on donation, I don't see too much of an issue

One plus point with this car is the base variant doesn't look like a base. Unless someone tell it it looks like a middle +variant. They should add 6 airbags and option of AT to compass lower variant.

Good content and upto data. Everything Asir spelt out correctly. I am member of Jeep Western Wanderers club, participated in two trails. As Asir said, track is required to check the capability of this vehicle. One more point to add, after 100 km speed, this vehicle offers a different experience, no competition currently.. It's a Jeep 🟡|||||||🟡 not for everyone....

Avoid Jeep at any cost. I sold my compass just because VTK Jeep Service centre at Kattupakam Chennai. Just check the review of Jeep service centres. Stellantis which is a parent company of Jeep is in pretty bad shape. They might go out of India soon. Be cautious if you are thinking of buying a Jeep.

VTK pathetic only all service advisors are working for long and very lazy people the reason I avoided Jeep while upgrading from Punto was the service reasons. Stellantis should add more dealers like Kun and FPL

One can buy a top end XUV700 AWD for a base model cost of meridian. Still seats 7 with more powerful engine and torque output. Jeep is much costlier in terms of spares and maintenance. Off course jeep got got interior fit and finish but truly not value for money for 32 lacs OTR on base model

This is misleading. The Meridian belongs to a different segment and should not be compared with the Seltos, which is a compact crossover SUV. A true SUV like the Meridian should not be directly compared to a compact crossover. Neither the segment nor the pricing is comparable to the Seltos.
