Summary. You can’t win. You will end up paying more in accountancy fees to figure out this convoluted system than any savings you could hope to make 😅

If you purchase a full electric new car to get the benefit of 100% but go through Hire Purchase do you take off the full value of the vehicle immediately in that tax year even though it will be paid off over 3-4 years?

Yes. But then when you sell it later it’s a taxable event I believe so it’s more like deferred tax rather than saved tax.
