I have this one..paid $99 and used it on some plane flights. No issues taking it as carry on through TSA. I also bring it to hotels to use the passthrough charging which gives a few more ports to charge things while simultaneously charging itself.

Havent tried to charge on solar yet but charges quickly with my Bluetti ac50b or my inverter and battery bank. I have been getting around 2 1/2 to 3 days on a charge.

As the pioneer of battery power banks…Jackery has my respect and attention. I have three of them from purchases made in early 2022. However, seems like everyone is competing with them…making much better products…while Jackery is slow to improve. I will never buy another one because the Jackery’s are too slow to recharge but quick to discharge. Last time I checked they were still only making the flexible solar panels. Also…a lot of people are going to the alternator chargers…don’t think Jackery makes that either. My opinion…Jackery has a lot of catching up to do! Just my opinion

@@savanna6340 I’d say that recharge speed has been one of the biggest issues with the Jackery lineup. It’s great that all of these companies are trying to compete, and thus improve the quality of their power stations. Things are always getting better!

So what is the best portable battery to get to keep a fridge going during a power outage?
@kenp.730427 күн бұрын

I have the Jackery Explorer (1600 watt?) with 2 input terminals for charging. Each of the 2 inputs are rated only at receiving 200 watts of solar power per input terminal for a total of 400 watts of solar power input at a time. However when charging with AC input … it is capable of accepting a charge at a much higher wattage input. I found this out the hard way when I wired three 100 watt solar panels together and then inserting the cable in to just one of the input terminals…Immediately I smelled burning and immediately disconnected the solar panel from the input terminal. Thankfully it did not damage my Jackery and I also thought this was very odd! Seems that should not happen!

@@FewerOptions-mx7qt you’re absolutely right though…but those are the bigger power stations nothing this small can handle all those volts and that’s why it’ll damage it or damage your vehicle because it’s gonna take in the limit it can take and bypass the rest of the volts to your vehicles dc port which is why the damage happens

I try not to pay more than 100 watts divided by 3 on solar generators. Example: 100Watthours divided by 3 is $33 bucks... OR 300 watt hour solar generator = 100bucks that being said, i wouldn't pay more than 33 bucks for this unit Currently at Amazon (black friday 2024) jackery 1000 v2 for 349 bucks, {$399 minus $50 coupon).. is about 33% ( watt hours to Money ) 1070 WattHours divided by 3 = $356, so it's actually 7 bucks cheaper than my limit. And I try not to pay more than $100 per 1000 watt hours if they are simple batteries without the transformers and control and protection circuitry found in solar generators.

This fills a very small niche of a power bank you can bring on a plane. The better value is the Anker Solix c300 DC. For 60 dollars more, 3 times the capacity and while it is slightly heavier and bigger, it is just as portable as this looks.

Don't buy the Jackery 1000. I did and right after the warranty expired the unit went completely dead. Most of the reviews online are from people who received a free unit from Jackery. Although, they may be truthful reviews, they are not from buyers of the units sold directly by jackery or from the jackery amazon store. Also, these reviews do not account from what happens after the 3 year warranty passes. Research the web and you will find hundreds - if not thousands of complaints from actual buyers. You have been warned.
