For me personally Constance alone makes my DLC purchase worth it! I do like the new Auxillary battles and the stat boosters that come with it. Outfit while a few stand out like the lougwear and Sothis Regalia the rest were pretty bland imo and WAY too safe wished they had better variety...The Sauna very useful but very terrible execution on what an ACTUAL Sauna is......Cindered Shadows is by far the most substantial for sure hopefully the final updates that'll come with it is satisfying since so far all the QoL and add-ons were fantastic!

Skipped over the best costume. The Wave 3.5 Sothis costume. I was lucky enough to just be finishing off Chapter 10 where Sothis merges with Byleth on my Crimson Flower run. So the timing worked out really well for me.

I think it's worth it I like the custom butler outfits for the Male students. Sothis outfit for F! Byleth is cute. And the rest are eh maid outfits are pretty good and the new dlc seems Interesting

Well, the custom outfits aren't $25 worth it. But being able to get female Byleth out of her awful default costume is definitely a quality of life improvement. Seriously, the designs in this game are 90% amazing, how was their biggest whiff the avatar?

Honestly the dlc overall is pretty disappointing just because the first two waves combined don’t even feel like a full wave. The sports outfits suck too lmao, but at least wave 3 & 4 are fun add ons

Overall the dlc was extremely... Average. I like how they combined the exp+money idea from the 3DS games but it's just another generic battle. In Awa and Fates most of the enemy ran away from you and you have to chase them down. Idk if Echoes did the same thing tho. Also in Fates you had the weapon dlc which allowed you to get cool stuff which was otherwise locked in the route you didn't choose. Why couldn't we get something like that for 3H? If I spent 20 euro on this I want to farm some weapons or materials. Expecially Agarthans. Speaking of Anna she just sucks, she is a worst Manuela and she only functioned as a Sniper because how good Hunter Volley is, not because Anna. Like, +5 luck as personal skill? Are you shitting me, game? Yeah we also get God incarnate but he is for free and why the hell we don't get Randolph, Ladislava, Fleche or Judith? Heck Judith is a Lord, she might have an exclusive class herself! They also combined the new classes+new character idea in Wave 4, which is nuts but I can't really judge. I am more curious about what the free update is gonna bring, I hope it's not just some bugfix or shit like that. I am confident because weirdly enough, the free update were better than the dlcs.

For me the deal breaker or maker will be the additional playtime that wave 4 provides. But that also means that I will wait with my purchase until a motivated youtuber reviews the quantity and quality of the new story. That's why I am subbed, now ;-)

I got shadows of Valentia DLC and I was not satidfied at all in the slightest. It was roughly $20 with new maps and characters but I never actually used them at all. The tier 3 MC classes were cool and all but I never actually got to that point until post game. The things i did like were the pitchfork reclassing to mess around with on people who shouldn't reclass as it would look completely weird. I do Like 3 houses as a whole but I didnt want to get DLC and then hate it again. (also kind of wanted to see so kind of post game area but i guess the multiple stories wouldn't make sense with it.) side note* I really wanted the pitchforks to give me access to the axe based classes as there aren't any besides the enemy types. That didn't happen.

Hear the wave 4 dlc is only 6-10 hours. Plus I hear the story isn’t all that great so I’m unsure if I want to get it. I did love FE:TH so I’ll probably grab it because it’ll be a good excuse to replay the game with another house while I’m at it. What did you think about wave 4 so far?

Edelgard approaches: not a great plan.( in Tony starks voice.) She then let’s the surviving citizens of Firdiad tear her apart.

We definitely know it's the last wave of the announced DLC. Whether or not they add anything we can't be sure of, though I think it is rather unlikely at this point. Not impossible though!

@@LinkKing7 I'm hoping the success of Three Houses is enough to convince them to do just a little more with it. There's certain parts within the story that feel a little incomplete. If they could flesh them out a bit more I think it would please a lot of Fans out there. Don't know whether they'd want to do it through another paid dlc model or just a free update or a combo of a little of both like we've already been getting.

The real question, I have one run left on the OG fire emblem three houses should I wait for this DLC to come out so I play the final run with the new units and changes to the monastery? Or should I finish this run and then play the DLC when it's out. I don't think I'll be playing another run after this one any time soon I love the game but at 200+ hours I'm feeling a bit of burn out.

You can just wait, the DLC comes out tomorrow, and your progress in the DLC will Update your main game as your progress, so might as well just wait at this point

You don't really have to, it occurs during the first half of the game anyways and has relatively minimal spoilers. You can still get the DLC characters in the main game afterwards as well, they're totally separate campaigns.

Yep, the items will get refreshed at the start of each playthrough and you can claim them again. Which crest items? I’m more sure I follow this one. If you mean giving units those extra crest effects, I think that’s just a NG+ thing iirc

Anyone who says the DLC isn't worth the price simply can't do math. $25/$7.25 is 4 hours of minimum wage work in exchange for minimum 15 hours of content in one playthrough and increased replayability on top of that.

1- as a fellow Rin lover I approve of your name and pfp. Never change, NEVER! 2- it’s difficult to really judge value on something specifically. I usually have a superficial gauge for $1/hr to really judge. But sometimes I have to concede that the experience itself may be worth more than that. I actually agree, I think Cindered shadows is worth it, despite it taking me only 8 hours to clear the mode. But the dlc as a whole add more than just that, so it was nice

@@LinkKing7 I had 10 hours I think on Cindered Shadows and who knows how much granted to my 3 main route plays from the auxillaries, quests and paralogues. There's like 3 hours of supports alone from the Ashen Wolves iirc. Yeah I'm total Rin trash. Even naming my future band IshtarEresh lmao

Overall I think the DLC is pretty bad. I like the idea of adding a ton of costumes through dlc but they were lazy about it and gave us a bunch of glorified reskins. What they should have done was give us more outfits on the same level as the maid and Sothis outfits (swimsuit, festival, etc). Also costumes that made you look like characters from other FE games would have been sick. Imo even with wave 4 I have little motivation to buy the expansion pass. Why has FE dlc always been so terrible.?

I think it's not that terrible, but I reserve final judgement until Wave 4. I've always considered it to be the main draw of this entire expansion pass, so if it turns out to be very good, it'll justify it for me personally. At least this time around the DLC is adding some relevant substance, or so it seems at least

@@LinkKing7 Bewarned this is a very petty reason. I hate Zach Aguiler's voice. Not him as a person just his voice. This isn't even a condemnation of Chris. It's just that anyone that Zach voices causes my ears pain. My hatred for his voice reaches levels that humans can comprehend yet simultaneously wish they couldn't. I HATE IT THAT MUCH. And even if I didn't hate it, his voice doesn't fit a character with the name, "Ashen Demon". Play the game mute I hear you cry. That could be challenging during cutscenes. Change the voices to Japanese. I prefer to listen to things in my native language, so that's out. Mod Chris's or someone else's voice in. Not only are people NOT willing to do that but replacing voice files for Three Houses is very difficult, doubly so when said character is in a cutscene. Play the female version. I hate her design. I hate her face. I hate her leggings. I hate her outfit. Her voice is perfect. To quote a wise man. "MY BELTS ARE BIGGER THAN THESE FUCKING SHORTS!" Petty VA reasons aside. The changes they made to the supports post 1.0.1 I am not a fan of. Given what I've read when the patches happened very few are happy with them either. So that's why... I expect a lot of backlash for what I've typed up. But I do not care. You asked why and here is my answer.

@@MalachiLper 40+ if you play with combat animations. About 15 to 18 without. And that's not even taking the cutscenes into account. (I know those are not really lines but even those sound off to me). Forced deployment and the fact that Byleth is such a good unit aside chapter 13 throws a wrench in that plan almost immediately on maddening classic (which I cannot even access but would love to try). Believe me, mate I have tried to find a good reason to justify updating past 1.0.1 and it's just not working out. Strange hill to die on, but at least I will die.
