3:30 Something to think about is the paint might be adding friction. Because the trigger and priming handle on the original are pretty snug against the outside shell. So I would imagine it has to be the paint

I think the new blasters just seem less smooth cuz they're new, and have not been used enough. My original Nexus's are really smooth, but they have had hundreds of rounds fired through them, my urban camo one did feel less smooth in operation originally, but i think it just needs to be broken in. I used in in a war and it already is better.

I’ve had my gold nexus for almost 2 months now and the paint on the bottom of the barrel where the pump grip slides on has been starting to scratch off, plus it also makes a noticeable squeaking sound if primed too aggressively.

How very interesting. My Urban camo version also is not as smooth to prime as well. Works fine and barely noticeable while playing, but there's still a difference. But I feel like it shoots harder and is more consistent. Don't have a chronograph just feels that way. I thought it was just mine with the prime but guess not.

There’s nothing limited edition or online only about these. A ton of these have been dumped at all my local Walmart’s for about $20 off their original price with the original orange nexus pro down to sub $20.

Ok, so I’m replying over 1 year later.. this is pretty awkward, but my purple battle camo nexus pro works just the same as my friends orange one, same velocity/power, same smoothness, etc. the only difference is that the safety feature feels a little mushy popping it back and forth, but I don’t really care that much tho

Those Canadian prices are really good. Most Hasbro products end up being marked up well above actual exchange rate when their msrp is calculated for us, especially for initial release things. Combine that with how most toys have doubled in price over the last few years, and like you mentioned with the uniqueness of those repaints, its totally acceptable for the gold and camo Nexus blasters to be priced that way.
