hey bro i live right down the road from line 2 line piston coatings. had them do a few 2 stroke pistons and do some powder coating on my race bikes. Truck sounds sweet. Plan to put the whole setup on my 06 L33 z71.

I got there full exhaust long tubes x pipe and the axle dump i lovr it fits great i would definitely recommend it to anyone. Sounds great on a stock motor, bout to build my motor and I’m sure it will sound even better

I have a set of their long tube headers and I'm thinking about the exhaust kit but I'm worried it might hang too low and be too loud when I'm driving down the highway. I love the truck, i love it so much i just bought a 99 n looks identical almost with the 4.8 and just did all the easy stuff like 3/4 drop, 20" gmc wheels, intake, and exhaust is next but any suggestions for more ponys?

BTR stage 2 or 3 truck cam. If you do a converter like 3200 stall then get stage 3 cam. If you don't want to change converter get stage 2. Watch speed secrets video on those cams.

Glad you had a good experience. I did not. Several pieces didn't fit (had to have new ones sent too me). Exhaust didn't line up well with hangers. "Rear exit" kit hit spare tire. A current nightmare.

That sucks for sure, man. I've only heard of a couple people having issues with this exhaust, but for them it was that the clamps weren't right on the first production run.

Yeah, Speed Eng claims this will fit with virtually any long tubes with a 3 inch collector. Might take a little twisting here amd there

SniderTron 3000 thanks for the response! I actually spoke to speed engineering through Instagram and they said since my truck has a 6 inch lift the front drive shaft might get in the way. But I noticed the kooks y pipe that’s connected to my headers has enough space and clears the drive shaft. You think maybe the speed engineering exhaust has enough clearance as well?

I got the Speed Engineering long tubes and the same exhaust as you, but it's on backorder right now. 4.8 with an LS6 baby cam. Should sound okay.

Its such a pain getting a hold of them this year. I think they started getting a lot more order traffic recently and their production just cant keep up. They will go out of stock overnight and then into backorder for a month, then right back into out of order. Right now is the first time I've seen them in STOCK since last december.

Did you notice exhaust leaks?? I got the header/exhaust combo. Its all slip on. I bought 3 inch band clamps but still get leaks.

There was really really small leaks. I couldn't hear them but I could see the black on the exhaust where it was leaking a little. It wasn't enough for me to care about

If it has an X-pipe or H-pipe, then it's dual exhaust but not TRUE dual exhaust. If it has a Y-pipe or muffler with one inlet and two outlets (or visa-versa), then it's not dual exhaust at all. True dual exhaust has two individual pipes that don't connect in any way. They don't have exhaust scavenging, which is why they have a unique raspy sound.

no, it's made for the 99-07 trucks, but you could make it fit if you wanted to cut it up a bit. The 92 is a GMT400 and these trucks are GMT800 so slight differences.

Yeah, these are meant to come off of long tube headers. According to the guys at Speed Engineering, they should work with virtually any long tube header that has a 3 inch collector. I'm running Pace Setters

Thats not bad for 400$ I got the same truck with dumped true dual flowmeter 40's just like your set up. And it cost me 600$ for the mufflers and a shop to weld them in.

Yeah, I took my RX7 to an exhaust shop and they charged me $203 for 2 small pieces.

I'm lucky enough to have an old local shop that does pretty cheap installs. Piping from the headers back is max of $100 if they have to bend it all themselves, then you just buy the mufflers or whatever ontop of that to install. If you take a setup like this in where all they have to do it fit it up it'll only be like $20. They are the only shop anywhere remotely close to here that will touch an exhaust that doesnt have cats on it, too. Super amazing guys. 👍👍

To add more to why they're so cheap lemme quote Sean from Speed from 2013 ls1tech talking headers "Nope, ours and TSP's are China built. TSP in all honesty is better quality, as why there price is higher. Ours is a good bargin for the money however. We plan on making a truck version as well. We're trying to get the ball rolling so we can build more products and expand into different headers, as well as start building turbo kits.
