And it's only good turn 1 for every deck, since it's usage restricts it. People are going crazy now, same with Purulia and in the end it was overhyped. Don't force yourself to be a meta sheep. You will end up unlucky and poor.

YuGiOh is seriously turning to utter P2W crap with all the gatekeeping of LITERALLY every good card behind a short printed Secret Rare....Why, just WHY can't we have the OCG treatment where new cards are straight up printed in MULTIPLE rarities? You just want the cards to be able to play the game? Fine! Here is your common/rare/super rare copy! Oh you got more money and you want extra shiny cardboard? Completely fine! Here is your ultra and secret rare! It works in OCG and I see 0 reason why it wouldn't work here in TCG...If we were to get literally the same exact products OCG gets with theie rarity treatment it would be PERFECT....Yes, cards would be cheaper but A LOT more people would pick up Yugioh once again because it would he much more accessible to buy meaning more sales and more money in the end anyway! Everyone wins...Komoney gets a crap ton of money and we get all the cards we need in multiple rarities to cherry pick based on our own budget we can spend!

If we already know buying Singles is the better choice, why would any person sane consider buying the sealed packs? Pack openings are over hyped and not that special tbh. I get more exited about cards I actually want in an envelope w/top loader and penny sleeve.

Its basic economics. The price of anything js determined by what people are willing to pay for it. Someone offered to pay me 100 for my purulia when my daughter pulled it. I told him if it was 200 i wouldnt care, its sentimental value.

Mermail/Atlanteans are going to SURPRISE a lot of people. The new support is nearly an auto-W. You didn't cover the new spell and trap, as well as the rank 3 Xyz monster (techincally non-archetype, but you should pretend it is) coming in ROTA. You really only ever lose by bricking, which is infrequent. Biggest downside is the Mermail Abyssgaios's price (you'll want 2) -- about $60 each in NM.

@@IveGotThis Sadly Merlanteans completely die from Droll/shifter, multiple handtraps(and fuwaross is a great counter as well)and dweller. In OCG with Ice Barrier it managed to get a top without toad but the deck was less mermail oriented and also it didn't survive in the new Ryzeal meta.
