Does HPU give a lot of scholarships in terms of merit? (Also do you find out your scholarship when you get accepted or later?)

Yes they do! Especially if you're apart of any programs they offer. I got a presidential scholarship, and I found out once I got accepted :)

@@autumnkaylaa thanks! I talked to my counselor for the school and they said that everyone is automatically considered for a scholarship based on merit but do you know around how much they offer? (Sorry for the questions! This is just my top choice haha)

wait so after freshman year you aren’t allowed to live in the dorms anymore ?

You are! It just isn’t common. However over the last couple of years a lot of upperclassmen have been getting kicked out of the dorms to make room for freshman (hpu accepts a lot of people and sometimes there’s not enough room)

@@autumnkaylaa hey is it hard to get a scholarship for hpu? also what do you do down there financially to stay on your feet? bc ik hawaii is expensive but ik its not gonna be an extreme shock to me bc of the part of tx im in is really expensive and growing. and how much do you think i should save up to prepare myself to be on my own down there or like what amount did you go down there with ?

Hi! It wasn't hard for me to get a scholarship; I got a presidential scholarship because of my GPA and different achievements throughout high school :) To stay on your feet you can apply to jobs within and outside of HPU. HPU offers certain jobs where your paycheck goes directly towards your tuition! I didn't come to Hawaii with much money, my family supported me these past couple of months
