MS is absolutely not worth it anywhere (more so in US if you are taking a loan) and in CS it is worth even less. PhD is a different ball game and worth it as long as you are passionate about research.

Post trump the f1 opt and h1b programs may be truncated or terminated. Green card will become onerous. Only PhD is the way to go forward. Otherwise M tech in India is better as outsourcing continues unabated. People can work in Microsoft and Google in India. Also you can work in Boeing and Airbus in India but not in us as only green card or us citizens are hired by many defense companies.

Some are saying even the STEM OPT might get eradicated. Trump in his first term brought an act called buy American, hire American.Republicans are not in favor of foreigners taking their entry level jobs. And in his first term, there was a pressure group pushing against the STEM OPT visa. This time, trump has overwhelming majority in Senate too.

Hi Yudi! Thank you for your videos. I recently applied for the spring semester at SJSU for a master's degree. They accepted all my documents a month ago. However, now the application status is Referred to graduate department. And it's been hanging like this for two weeks. The university representatives don't comment when they usually send the decision letter. I am worried, because the beginning of my studies is already at the end of January, and I still can not start the process of obtaining a visa and preparation. Well, other universities have already sent their decisions back in October. Is this a normal situation and should I worry?
