Pile #3. We live at a distance from each other. He's polyamorous. I'm monogamous. The sexual chemistry is insane. No, he can't be replaced. I feel like I'm replaceable to him. That's a problem. I'm attached. He isn't. That's what I feel. He says he cares. Idk... It all happened so fast. I feel like it's a spiritual connection also. I don't want to be the reason for anyone's spiritual growth, damn it! I want my person in this lifetime before I die.

As a poly person myself, I can say that mono/poly relationships can be very difficult to navigate at times because the ways of thinking are so different. But not always impossible - my partner of 6 years that I share a home and cat family with is mono and we have overcome our issues and are extremely solid and happy. None of my partners are replaceable to me at all. I would say you should explore what makes you feel fully loved and seen in your relationships and learn how to ask for that and know when to let go when someone cannot offer you those things ❤️

@laurdowns Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. He's gone cold on me. We're not communicating right now. I'm thinking that for the time being, I need to let this go. I feel rejected by him, and it hurts. I'm seeing a therapist to help me process my feelings. I know that I have some unhealed childhood wounds that need to be addressed. I am going to focus on myself now. Whatever will be, will be.

Pile 3 - Separation yes, but some contact rn. We thought we'd have a family.... Lack of education yes - he didn't understand how fwb works because tbh he never really was well versed in fwb. Resonates completely... hes going through a 20 year marriage / divorce so release makes sense. He accidentally hurt me several times. Vice versa. .. So friendship rn. FWB didn't work out because see above... sloppiness... past energy. I heard "Time in a bottle" or "Don't stop till you get enough" lol very sexual connection. Strong attachment but rn protecting myself with boundaries as platonic friendship although the chemistry is off the charts, long distance yes.
