Can u do a video what are possible alternative investment using the withdraw fund. Cpf life fund will be depleted but if we invested them in an lip great eastern life product we can preserve our capital yet able to supplement the cpf life payout under BRS and still keep the withdraw amount intact

the money place with bank for CPFIS and CPFRS are aggregated and separately insured u to 100,000 (Deposit Insurance Scheme). Does it mean there is a risk to use cpf to buy T bill (if bank bankrupt) and choosing Cpf life standard plan where 100% RA is transferred to the pool (ie CPFRS). It is safer to choose basic plan where only 10-20% of RA is transferred to the insurance pool.

How about downgrading to BRS through cpf pledging and using the amount to buy into a private annuity? This way I still get predictable guaranteed monthly income during my “peak old age” and also liquidity if I ever need the money.

Hi. Not true. Whether fully paid up or not, one can pledge property for cpf, subject to the rest of eligibility conditions.

Not true. You just have to top up to FRS after sales of the HDB flat.
