I can vouch that getting a stand up desk is life changing and worth the investment! Got myself one that has 2 shelves type desk and self crank which works great. On the top shelf I have my monitors sitting on it and the lower, my keyboard and paper stuff etc....In addition to my desk, I got an under desk treadmill and so now I walk/stand and work. Talk about improvement in weight, posture and health! Only regret I have is that I wish I had thought of this and done it sooner!!! Once you make this change, you'll never look back and your body will thank you! I'm am also tall so huge plus for us tall folks that struggle with posture! Great video, thanks!

I watch you guys all the time, and enjoy your advice. Just another suggestion about standing desk: they are pretty expensive, and a friend bought me an Adjustable Overbed Bedside Table With Wheels. Only about $50- $60. The top is only 15 x 30 inches, but holds my laptop just fine with enough room to take notes. I've had it for 10 years, and it still works great. I can just stand up for 10-15 minutes each hour to relieve my back. I have enjoyed is so much I bought one for my wife, too.

I've been using a standing desk for over 15 years now. Best thing ever! I use a heavy duty adjustable, metal artist's easel with a couple of large watercolor pads across it to put my computer on, pile books and notepads, coffee, etc. to the side. I love that it's very stable and I can make it wider, higher, lower and move it with relative ease from room to room or just to get more light in the room I'm in. I also keep a box or something under it so that I can raise one leg and rest it on the box from time to time.

A standing desk converter has helped a lot with knee pain. My knee & legs are stronger. Pain has significantly reduced to almost nothing. I am now able to fully straighten my knee.

Hi Bob and Brad! Always appreciate the upbeat and helpful information. Thank you! My Veridesk at work has been a quality of Life saver. Even as a cheap model. But I do need to engage my core to raise it. I’d love to have one at home for my work from home days, office rotation.

One suggestion is that you get a standing desk, be sure to get an anti-fatigue mat for your feet. This being a suggestion from a chemist who worked standing in front of benches for most of 25 years.

I used a sit/stand desk for a few years before retiring one year ago. While I hated it, lol, I was very disciplined about using it. That & walking the trail a few times a day at work & home, really helped with having a desk job. Wish I had one now for home (I did try to enter contest, but haven't figure out how to get cookies to allow me to). I sew & craft, & have my computer desk/chair set up. Something about my desk chair kills my right hip, & I'm trying other exercises from Bob & Brad videos to heal groin pain. Really appreciate their videos!

I have a great desk that has a button to raise and lower it ... is that what you mean by a standing desk. I love it, but I find I end up using my chair all the time, or 95% of the time. It's is a lot bigger than the Flexispot, about 6' x 2.5' , but I got it about 13 years ago ... and it was extremely expensive ... almost $2000. I cannot believe the prices today ... they are so much better. The extra width/depth is good to keep your computer monitor farther away and not right in your face.

Open KZbin to look for similar ideas and the two best physical therapists on the internet (in my opinion) uploaded a standing desk video 15 seconds ago! Got to be a sign, right?

I've been using a standing desk for years. I stand until my feet hurt then I sit and its true, once you sit you rarely get back to standing. Mine is a manual rise ...not bad but I wish I had spent the extra to get an electric one or at least one with hydraulic assist.

I really hope I win the standing desk give away....I have been using a portable laptop desk while being very cognitive of my posture (from feet stance/symmetrical weight distribution and proper shoulder height all the way up to neck posture/overall body alignment) since August 2020. I sequestered my disc back in April/May 2020 (almost one year now), and I have been sleeping on the floor with a cushion under my legs to support a 90 90 position ever since. I work alot from home nowadays, designing and implementing exercise programs for people with cancer for several upcoming research projects. Telehealth exercise interventions got highlighted thanks to Covid, and it may be the next best thing for individuals with compromised immune systems who would benefit from exercise......but we need more research because it's such a novel approach. Anyways, Bob and Brad, my heart has been broken ever since my back injury. I competed in collegiate sports like rugby and wrestling, and I trained in martial arts like jujitsu and muay thai before my disc got detrimentally compromised. I am sure that the desk will help with the ergonomic integrity of my work setting (I mainly work from home), and maybe.....just maybe, it can help me get back to competing in contact sports in the future - subsequently, fixing my broken heart ❤️. Thank you for your helpful videos, time, and consideration, Bob and Brad.
