I’ve heard really good reviews on this. Curious, but 1. how much time did you devote to these every day? 2. And are we required to complete all the courses to “pass” eg can we choose one editing software over the other? And 3. Did you have to buy expensive gear (curious to hear how much this cost)!

1. I did a few hours for 3 days and finished it in a weekend. It was mostly refresher for me and I just spent time watching lighting, audio and editing. 2. All videos are available to watch in any order you like. I only watched the premiere pro course for editing. 3. I had cheap gear to start. $500 camera with kit lens and mic. $100 light kit and that’s what my kit was at the time. But gear can be as cheap or expensive as you want, really depends on you. Cheers

Thanks for the recommendation. Their course does look good for the price. One thing I'm looking for is FEEDBACK as I'm learning. In an in-person class you would get feedback from the instructor and maybe other students as well. Is that possible with this course? I see they have a weekly live Q&A calls. I thought I also saw reference to a private Facebook group but I'm not finding it now. Is it possible to get useful feedback that way? Thanks!

Clients for my video production company. But it can be any work you do for someone using your camera imo. You don’t need anything for this course. The fact you have lights is a bonus! Cheers 🥳

Definitely. This course works even if you just used your phone. Most phones now allow you to manually set the camera settings, so you’ll definitely benefit on a dslr too. Cheers!

There is no time limit or limited access. It’s simply organized into days with practice assignments so that you can digest the information in chunks. But you can do it all in one day really. Or take as long as you want. Cheers!

I read somewhere that they do a lot of upselling in the videos. Do they get you at the low price to sign up and then you have to pay to unlock other stuff that you will need? Also, is this good info for Instagram, Tiktok etc as well?

There other programs are how to script, how to land clients, and how to create courses. If those are necessary to you then it will be more. But I havent bought them since at the time I just wanted to learn how to use camera and editing tricks. Its good for social media cause the same principles apply. But they dont specifically teach vertical shooting. So you will just have to apply that knowledge yourself. Hope this helps
