I partially agree with you, but I also have a better mantra: "Slightly better DPM or slightly better aiming is useless if you can't be in a position where you can't aim properly and hide/unspotted after you shot" For medium to long range fighters, camo/vision/enough mobility to relocate and finding shots > gun handling > more mobility > DPM

Honestly in my experience I find that trying to improve accuracy on accurate tanks to be just copium. I must be unlucky cause RNG loves sending my shots to the moon, the ground, or to some random apparently unpennable spot on a target.

What WG don't tell you is that the hidden stats of this TD are absolutely tragic, borderline KV-2 levels while slightly moving the gun in any direction. The Grille is only accurate when aiming at fully aimed STATIONARY targets. Any snapshot will cause the shell to land in the next game.

Two comments: 1. The bonusses are calculated multiplicative rather than additive. Meaning: they are smaller than they seem. 2. Rammer is overrated. It is situational and basically only then useful if you CONSTANTLY shoot without even one second delay. Now count the scenarios in which this applies.

Gun rammer is useful in tanks like Jagpanther E-100, FVs or the E3 and E4 because the spotting mechanics work for 10 seconds and they take much longer to reload but in tanks that fire ultra quick like STRV-103B is just useless if you get spotted, unless you have a very offensive playstyle with the STRV. In tanks like the Tortoise you might drop the vents and pick up the Turbo and HP booster but definitely use bond rammer. In Grille there should be like 5 slots to improve accuracy and even that wouldn't be enough lol

4:10 there's also an equipment that increases the time enemies are spotted and also decreases the time u are spotted, for like 2 secs if I remember correctly.(?) Also I guess nobody's uses it, hard to make it worth it when there's better equipment. edit: I guess he mentions it when he says u can get spotted for up to 17 seconds, but doesnt mention u also decrease it for you, so I guess in theory u could be spotted for more or less 7 seconds? that could be crazy actually

Yes theoretically the STRV is more accurate. But the STRV is about DPM, so you take the field mod that increases reload speed and lowers accuracy. Grille already has bad DPM so you don’t sacrifice much by taking the better aiming.

i think i have vents, bounty aiming and gun rammer and then all in on accuracy for the field mods. So its quite a nice gun. One of the few tanks you can play alongside the leopard without expensive premium rounds, as you can usually snipe the weak spots

Yes, roll a TD so the MM has 13 TD's no lights and 1 heavy, then sit with the 12 other TD's on the redline, spot nothing and get rolled by the enemy light/medium just spot farming you. That's the new Meta for TD players.

I would go - field mods to have better loading time and use improved aiming device or bounty aim d. Then you can use rammer to, replace middle equipment slot. I think you will lose small amount on ac, but reload would be better, a lot.

Not to mention that you actually save a lot of credits in the long run because you are increasing the quality of your shots with the iau rather than firing more shells faster with a gun rammer, this is actually used in the real world scenario in Ukraine where Ukraine needs to hit their artillery shells much more accurately with a better tech since they don't have nowhere near as many artillery shells as Russia

I find the long range sniping build really boring, I 3 marked my Grille 15 with Experimental turbo, rammer and either hardening or optics, depending on the map, I then take the last mod for accuracy, and found it's accurate enough, and like you said about the STB-1 the times being able to get a shot in before an enemy makes it into cover, or that extra dmp in general, outweighs the odd miss at extreme long ranges.

Doesn't matter how much you make your accuracy better, if RNG wants you to miss, you'll miss. I tried doing this With my Jageroo, got it 0.28 and still was missing 3 of 5 shots (less than 400m) Tried doing this again with my Leopard 1, got it with 0.25 and still missing shells while stationary. The thing is, shells on WoT are not laser trajectory, they will deviate after you fire based on the shell type, distance and, of course, RNGesus. And let me be clear: when I say I missed I mean, I hit the enemy but not where I aimed.

If you want to go full sniper strv103b is the only right choise. Svtrv103b how ever alredy has god tier gunhandling so its more about rate of fire. Personaly i prefer to increase the guns ability to hit rather than rate of fire on most tanks.

My Grille must be cursed, even investing equipment and perks into its accuracy my fully aimed shots will hit the dirt over and over again, and when it does hit it just refuses to pen, AP dont have the penetration and bounce, and HEAT somehow gets attracted into the tracks and get absorved. My thoughts as well. Just had two games in a row, first firing 3 shots with my Basotto, with gold, at basically 0 meters distance, in the side and back of heavies. No angle and completely green aims. None of the 3 were pens. Our team was was already collapsing so I thought I could just get myself some damage instead of sit and wait for death. Next game, my final shot was a ding on their LT from maybe 10 meters range. Standard ammo though, but my pen is still more than 5 times it's armor... So WG rng working as intended, COOMPLETELY unrealistic, as most other mechanisms in the game. And of course always placed on the weekend warriors and tourists team.
