Hi, thank you so much for making this video! As a Romanian girl, I enjoyed watching this video and hearing about both your experiences and insights :) I have a question : do you guys think that in a international marriage you can't reach a deep relationship because of the language barrier? I had a chat about this with a friend and she expressed that even if you and your significant other know the language or a common language really well, you can't reach the depths of same culture/language relationship. I love foreign languages and I feel like I'm pretty adaptable and I was wondering, based on your experience, what is your opinion on this?

Hi Adelina! I think you friend is right, it will never be the same as marrying someone from your own country, even now after years of marriage we still have differences and hard times communicating everything. But i still think is worth the shot!!. ☺

There was a time when also in Romania was like you said about Iran: Men go to work / bring the money and women stays at home (taking care of the house or the kids). But it was mainly during the communism times (but even then I don't think it was a general thing. It was like some kind of trend but not ALL women from the country were like that or living like that). After 1990 this started to change more (and more in time). Nowdays women can also get a job and work at a job (getting their own money) IF they wish to get a job. But even so.. when a woman becomes a mother in our country.. most of them get like a long(ish) break from work to take care of the baby (at home).. cuz not all of them can afford to hire a nanny. And it often goes back to that old trend (at least for a while) with.. woman staying often at home (with the baby / kid).. the man still goes to work (to bring the money). But it can also depend on where you worked previously. Cuz there are some employee hired somewhere (main example like women working at hospitals / schools and so on.. that are payed like by the state (civil government of a country) when after they get pregnant / give birth.. they will get even a long break (,,maternity leave'' says google translate when I typed how it's called from romanian language haha) from their job as employee.. and still get payed for some time (can be even beyond one or 2 years) but it can also be without the full saIary like when you were at that job doing the work you were hired for. (they will cut some %)

It’s very interesting to know all this information in detail thanks for sharing!🧡 it amazes me that maternity leave it can be so long which is so great! In other countries is just couple months and because of that people have to look for a family member to help them or as you said hire a nanny!. I guess also here with just one salary they can afford to stay home, I always thing it depends on personal situations but it’s nice if they have the opportunity to raise their kids at home!.

I think in some countries you see it more than in others, but for sure things change over time!. Regarding the nanny, I think is too much to say it’s disgusting, as some people have no option, maybe they are immigrants and have no family near by to help, maybe they need both salaries to live good, I don’t know, obviously it is great if the mom can raise the kids by staying at home but the reality is that is not always possible and I think people do the best they can with the tools they have in the moment or at least that is what I try to see!. Thanks for sharing your thoughts🧡

Thanks for sharing . Well unfortunately Iran at the moment is not much different than Romania back then in terms of people’s freedom of learning and growing. However because of bad economy women still gotta work but very less job opportunities than men. And yes maternity leave in Romania is amazing .. Honestly one of the reasons me and my husband decided to move here 😅.

@Darzalas I mentioned about people’s freedom of choice regarding learning (liberal vs autocratic) not education system... :)

@Darzalas As matter of fact currently iran has high ranked in education and literacy but whats the point if people are not happy and have no freedom :/
