Sometimes some places has $0 delivery fees. I have mixed feelings about food deliveries and the delivery drivers. In the last 17 years, I probably had food delivered about 10 times. 3 or 4 3rd party app. deliveries, the rest is restaurants. When the food is correct and on time, it's awesome. About half the time that the food is incorrect or very late (late enough that the food is barely warm). Lesson learned, DO NOT TIP UNTIL FOOD IS DELIVERED! Then there the 3rd party delivery drivers that makes below minimum wage after everything said and done. 1st party delivery drivers get paid better (sometimes), the owner is to cheap to buy companies vehicles so the employees could deliver food as part of their job. I do know some of the 3rd party drivers can make alot of money, they have to work insane hours 7 days per week with no benefits.

9 miles (18 total) seem pretty darn far to drive for fast food. I think your overestimating everything. 20 minutes in the drive thru as well. I think a more realistic is that most people prob wouldn't drive 9-10 miles (18-20 total) for fast food place. Theres usually one within 2-3 miles (5-6 total) of a person. And I would say the wait is usually about 10 minutes. And you don't have to go through the drive thru. Could just walk into restaurant and many allows you to order ahead and u don't even wait you just pick up your order. And no way door dash cost just $4. DoorDash always has some kind of overpriced hidden fee. And don't forget that tip. That $8 burrito ends up costing like $25-$30 if you use doordash.

I'm glad I live in an area where I have a good 5 minute walking distance from a supermarket, mall and restaurants and close by a subway that would bring me the NYC.

Good video. I know people that turn their vehicle off while in the line waiting so that they save money on fuel if its very busy. One factor a person should take into account is if they do video production stuff from home and when you take a brake you don't get paid so what is the cost of taking that brake to get food.

But if you’re a decent human being, you’d tip as well. I used to do deliveries and I know first hand how much it sucks when you don’t get tipped. You spent 30-45mins driving to the spot, praying the food is ready when you get there, and then drive to the destination. Just to make $5-7. I always tip at least $3-5 and sometimes more if the service was good. Even when the driver messed up, I’d still consider tipping. I’m not rich and I have a decent amount of debt. There’s hardly any reason not to tip at least $3, especially if the driver did nothing wrong. Otherwise get your lazy a** up and get it yourself or you shouldn’t be using these services if you really can’t afford the tip smh.
@XInfinity2024 Жыл бұрын
Depending where a person lives and where they order their food from the tip could be included in the price. I have called some places and I was told that they charge a $5 tip to the person ordering so the driver gets at least a $5 tip even if the person doesn't give the driver one when their food is delivered.

Who tf is driving 9 miles to get food? At most I have to drive 3 or 4.
@chan13153 Жыл бұрын
Yeah he is overestimating everything in this entire video. 20 miles total to drive to a fastfood. 20 minute wait time. You can order ahead just walk in and pick it up. Well everything except the price of door dash. Never have I seen door dash cost just $4. Theres always tons of fees ontop of it including the tip. That $8 order easily becomes $25-$30 on door dash. Doordash is a ripoff.
