Yeah I believe that’s part of the Identisk event but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Absolutely insane event with other xp rewards so IF you’re going to start during that event (or for anyone who sees this in the future, any leveling event) there really is no better time!

Toyed with reboot servers a fair amount of time after they launched and I didn't stick (only a few weeks before this it had been a decade since I had played the game). This time have a friend that is going to play I am sure I will be more casual and slower to progress my account over all but I am stoked to be able to hard commit to Hyperion as a home.

Did people forget we are getting 1k nodestone from 6th event chapter? Grind 1k nodestone on BRAND NEW ACCOUNT takes forever. The biggest problem with new server, getting into endgame content is going to problem. IF you have 6 man party, 5 of them are super lucky with their star force, and 6th person always get unlucky with star force, that 6th person might not be able to contribute to 5% dmg. I know some people drop 10-20b couldn't even get 21* cra and some people get lucky with 3 pcs CRA to 22* just under 5b total. When the hype died out and seasonal people stop playing, it gonna be more challenging. Right now on Kronos (the current na reboot), i can find people doing mpe at odd hours at anytime that i want. You don't have kind privilige on low population server. I personally don't care about 'legacy' item. We are not playing pvp game, and most of my pt member we don't have any legacy item and we clear ctene just fine. If KMS can clear content without any legacy,familiar, gollux and the extra 1% potential , i don't see any reason why we can't tackle the endgame boss. You have to remember, as time goes by, the game is getting easy and easier. Back then only handful people can solo blackmage, nowadays with 6th job coming up soon, you and your grandmother can solo BM with her eyes close

Just something to keep in mind for anyone reading this. We got to see the Hyperion leveling rewards today on stream and it includes a bunch of meso, teleport rock, exp coupons, flames (100 at 140), legendary potential ring with 30 ring cubes, gear, cosmetics and 500 nodestones and more nice stuff. You also get a bunch of nodestones from your Hyperburn as well. I also feel like a lot of players will be sticking to Hyperion since a lot are coming from reg who missed out on reboot launch and there are a bunch of new players who will mostly be starting on Hyperion and becoming invested in that server. I'd make the switch just to play with and help those newer players who will need people to answer questions and guide them. Most of the people I've seen saying they want to play on the new server still have a huge drive to play the game. I think those kinds of players are the best to have around and play with. The people who have already done what they wanted and just hang around doing endgame stuff are already firmly attached to Kronos, and I can understand why they wouldn't want to switch. Some of them spent years grinding, thousands of dollars on cosmetics, pets, etc, or have a community of people that don't want to switch. For them, I think it makes total sense to stay on Kronos, but for newer players I get the strong feeling they would benefit a lot more from Hyperion. Also this is just my own opinion, but legacy items bother me a bit. I realize the game isn't PvP, and I'm not necessarily competing in most cases, but that doesn't mean I like the idea of other players having huge advantages that no other players can get. 3 extra lines of potential are absolutely massive in a server where you can't get bonus potential or buy gear. The gap between established players and newer players is huge. Many people have been farming familiars for months, getting carries by cracked characters easily without needing to do anything to the boss, farming and spending billions of meso with un-nerfed Kanna and totems to improve their accounts. While you're not directly competing with these people, they are basically in a world of their own compared to you. Starting on a server where people don't have those advantages is actually huge. Even if you're a little slow to progress, others on the server will be in a similar position and there will be plenty of them who are taking their time. You're right that endgame content will take much longer for the majority of players to get to, but we'll get there eventually.

As a new player, only started playing a month back, I’m switching to Hyperion. I have no loyalty to the current reboot server since I have no connections, no legacy items and no established, developed character (240 DW 3k legion). And knowing that no matter how hard I try, I will never be as strong as someone with legacy gear turns me off Even if the hype for Hyperion dies and a majority of people leaves, nothing would have changed for me anyways since I’m mainly a solo player and I don’t have any friends to play with. Maybe on the new server I will find people who are looking for a new home like me and we can progress together. I agree, if I was more established in the game, like maybe a year in, I wouldn’t want to switch to Hyperion and just stay on the current server. But I’m not at the point where I have ton of stuff holding me back from switching

Loving this discussion. My only point I’ll bring up is that the nodestones are the same if you have an established account with the 6th star box (if this is incorrect and these are in addition please correct me). So for established accounts the nodestones would be moot they’d get them anyways, but absolutely this is a point in favor of any new or returning players to jump on over and give it a try. As I mentioned the pros outweigh the cons right now and the pros just keep adding up, to at LEAST give it a shot!

3:11 um actually, its pronounced "sewage" Jokes aside, there is 1 key thing you forgot to mention that will affect people in Hyperion tremendously, even more so than it does Kronos: reboot exp nerf. There is only so much that identisk can help out for new players (7x101 event, growth pots, etc) but after that, the grind for legion/link skill is just pure torture with the permanent x2.7 exp loss for mobs level 100~200, and good luck having enough star force to grind in Omega Sector/Twilight Perion. Also Hyperion leveling reward is meh at best and will likely be used on your main char anyway

as a EU player, the new reboot server doesn't matter. ping is way to high to consider joining. that is the real downside of being EU. 1 regulair server, 1 reboot server, and nothing new. and reboot is priety mutch dead anyway. there are people playing, and there are struggle party's, you can easly get into a guild. it is not dead in player base, that is not what i meant. what i meant is that the channels are never full, not even channel 1. great for training, as most maps are emptie, and there usaly is a empty map somewhere. but finding bossing party's, or struggle groups. good luck doing that if not in a guild. there is no need for a 2nd server, as EU doesn't realy play maplestory. so finding a new comunity or getting into a server first black mage. will never happen, as 1 more server will kill the exsisting server for the most part. don't know the state of luna, as that is the more populair server in EU. though for NL/BE reboot is theserver of choise. can't trade with players, so why play luna in the first place. you are as restricted in reboot as luna in NL/BE.
