P5R was my first not only persona game, but my first JRPG as a whole (unless you count Pokémon as a JRPG which i personally don’t) then I played P4G’s steam release and have emulated about half of P3FES. I’m probably going to finish the emulation then hop into P3P as FeMC since I’d have already experienced the male route through FES, plus the better handling of dating in her route.

I think P3P might actually be the way to go, assuming that you’re ok with the visual novel style. That aspect of the game alongside the fact that this version gives you party control make it pretty newcomer-friendly. While P4G is also friendly to new fans, it’s very similar in a lot ways to P5, and if people are just finishing the Royal port then it might be better to have P3P in there to offset things. I’ll also throw in there if that latter instance is the case that P4G might be little on the easy side for people who were just doing the final parts of P5R and want a challenge, and P3P can offer a bit more of that than P4G imo

Well I’m not really trying to work on a time limit so I kinda just want to enjoy them all one at a time, I’d like to have P3P done with at least most of the male route done before Octopath 2 comes out, but I’m also getting into FE Engage around now so I’m not sure (I’m a university student so I take the free time I can get) If it’s not already obvious by this I’m a huge strategy fan so either way, all of the previously mentioned games, P4G and P5R are all on my radar and I’ll be getting to them as soon as I can

I’m playing P4G first because I never finished it on Vita and also if they remake P3 I might just wait on it. Plus some reviewers really do feel a certain way about it being the PSP version instead of FES. I have it on PS3 still though so no rush.

My plan is: I’ve already played P5R, and I’m going to do P3P male playthrough, before P4G, and if I have time between P4G and octopath, I’ll do a female P3P playthrough

I want to say that if you're completely blind to persona 3 and 4 I say go 4>3 Specifically because of the final boss music if y'know y'know Spoilers and such The mind blow I had when I got to nyx and I hear fucking aria of the soul come in sure you can have same effect from just even playing 3 first but I dunno it hits hard after 3 games of the theme in background

I bought P4G on my laptop one year ago but my laptop couldn't handle it anymore and lag got so bad. I'm not sure if it's worth it to buy it on PlayStation

There’s no real connection between 3 and 4 so I don’t think it matters so much what version you choose. Although, if you played Persona Q, I think it’s better to play Persona 3 first.

The is it a cool connection between both games, in p4 u actually go to the p3 school and u get some pretty cool scenes. Persona 3 and persona 4 also share two sequels called persona 4 ultimax

Persona 4 first, because I've been anticipating that more than 5. After that, I'm going to hope for some sort of FES update (because flat pictures of the overworld is dumb), then eventually begrudgingly play P3P lol

I started with 5 and played the whole series backwards, which is one of the worst ways to go about it lmao I feel just playing them in order is the best way to go about it, otherwise you’re not gonna have a fun time with gameplay mechanics from future games just not being there Also mild spoilers for P4 but The entire section where you go to Port Island hits closer to home if you’ve played P3 since you uh… spent the entire game there lol
