Should You Play PlanetSide 2 In 2024?

These are important stuff for new players, especially when choosing a server. No character transfer so when you switch servers, you start over from scratch unless you bought things with the premium currency! (Not all servers are equal)

I play still on PS4, very small player base BUT at peak times it’s just like the old days, if everyone is fighting over the central base the battles still get pretty big and it’s a blast, but outside peak times it’s pretty dead with just small skirmishes. Nothing beats all 3 factions fighting over the central base in tight corridors and tunnels with MAX units charging in,

I got the game when I was 9, 2013. On and off played the game. Really started to play the game in 2020. I am really good at construction until they changed it and ruined my fun with that, and then became a leader and competitive infantry player. I kinda stop leading after my commander helmet, and started to go after exceptional directives. The game is still tough for pro players against other pro players. Very difficult game to be the best at. Still prolly on of the top base builders on emerald at the time, and absolutely made base near impossible to kill.

My main old VS character is in the cobalt server and i gotta say, the moment one of the popular maps such as indar or esamir gets locked, the server pop completely dies out.

Yeah. I can't really blame them, though. Getting obliterated by players repeatedly isn't really fun by itself - that's why they need leaders to help them have fun, even if they're not good at gunplay.

I've come back to this game... idk, playing on Miller EU. The population isn't amazing but that doesn't seem to be my main issue. I remember this game having way more variety and tactics. Recently playing again tho every game has played the same with one team steam rolling and spawn trapping the other team.

I haven't found any fun in this game, I either get instakilled if I try to fight or I am unable to get to the action I feel punished for wanting to play the game and always wanting to join the action

i uninstalled a few years ago,2023 i think i instaleld it again and played it and its just the same stuff,fly around,find a battle,get lost on a map where no battles are,get killed by random cloaker thats out there in the middle of nowhere with you for some reason.So now in my uninstall apps it stil lshows planetside 2 and i want it gone

Its not complicated. Daybreak gives a shit to balance, to faction balance, to cheaters and hackers. They only thing they think its important is to clone the weapons with new optics to melk the dying cow. I play on Miller. Number 1 Faction who is winning nearly all actions is the alien faction. TR is fucked up nearly all the time. On other Servers the faction balance is in the ass too. Dont start planetside 2. Daybreak is one of the worst companies you can have for a game. They destroyed everquest 2 totaly and made the same with planetside 2.

I used to play on ps4 years ago and have been dying to play again. I'll have to start over and deal with having ridiculously high ping bc the internet here is terrible, but I miss the game so much, I'll take it hahaha

I played it on PS4 yesterday it’s still fun with fairly large battles at peak hours. The player population is pretty small but when everyone is fighting over 1 base in the middle of the map it’s just like old times.
