I think the main reason to pull for The Herta is the fact she's very f2p friendly, as mentioned in this video both Little Herta and Serval support The Herta really well and so does RMC who benefits from The Herta's crit damage since Mem (RMC's summon) has a talent that gives your team crit damage based on her own CD and with The Herta giving you 80% CD that's pretty big. Another thing to note is that Bronya is exceptional with The Herta since Bronya's ult scales with CD and because of her A2 her auto attacks always vrit meaning that she can deal a nice chunk of damage with her auto attacks.

I am an OG Herta gamer, I fell in love with her design in v1.0 and pulled Jing Yuan's LC literally just for her to use and then spent like 2 months of trailblaze power farming relics trying to build the strongest Herta I could--and this was all before Pure Fiction when _any_ of this started making even a little bit of sense--so I'm super excited for The Herta's release so I can go all in on my investment for her, too.

Personally in my opinion considering Aglae will be the first remembrance dps we get (which are focused around summons) I feel like she might get powercrept quite easily, for ex from castorice and perhaps upcoming characters. As a Sunday haver but f2p I think the better option would be the herta!!!

Agree. She will be for sure powercrept and her element alignment is unfortunate as well (JingYuan and Acheron are also lightening and while they might get weaker, they are still strong enough to use). And obviously they will not throw at us the best DPS with the new mechanic right away. Best business choice is to hype up the new mechanic, then release the weakest one, because the FOMO people will jump on it, then bring out the real guns so they will be forced to wish again.

I mean, I feel as an emanator she could get powercrept just not as easily as Aglea will again considering the leaks we got of Castorices kit which includes her dragon summon if I'm not mistaken but of course there's still no guarantee she will be stronger than Aglea. For a f2p I feel it would be more efficient to go for The Herta rather than Aglea because of her f2p friendly options and because even if she does get powercrept she would still be very beneficial for pf and since Aglea will be the first remembrance its likely we find better rememberance characters soon after or if she ends up being very op we could always wait for her rerun which will come faster if the triple rerun each patch stays consistent! (If it doesn't I feel we would still get her rerun around 3.x if she stays a very hyped character)

i think you should also consider the upcoming characters that could possibly be remembrance characters, like castorice, possibly "dark" march, and maybe even cyrene (or more)! now that wouldnt be the best idea if you really wanna use your sunday with a summon character, though. Honestly as much as I am completely in love with THerta & Aglaea's designs... as a low spender, I'm going for Lingsha rerun only and no one else lol. Need to perfect my break team. Although herta and aglaea will definitely be powerful dpses, IMO it's not worth it to pull them (for meta, I mean --ofc if you like the characters it's always worth it) for someone like me who already has Acheron & FF and can clear both sides of MOC. HSR stands for Honkai support rail, if you have meta supports you can make any DPS work in endgame.

What I meant was more that if you've already pulled dpses from the recent break or hypercarry meta (FF, BH, acheron etc) and have been doing fine in moc so far, you'll prolly continue to be fine without going for the shiny new dpses, and that supports in general have more value than dps in this game.

Im looking forward to the herta. Her team for me would be the herta, fu xuan, rmc, and e1s1 jade but there's a chance that tribbie might fit well into the team and replace rmc. Which would be the herta and 3 quantum characters on the team. Fu xuan would be nice here since I don't use her anywhere else and she gives crit rate and does damage with her ult which would build stacks for the herta. Im trying to avoid using huohuo, robin, aventurine, and lingsha since I use them on a few different teams already

Tbh, I'm more interested in the reruns because the rerun characters may not have a rerun for quite a long time later on throughout the 3.x patch. I'm a huge Super Break fan and I'm lacking DPS units, so I may wanna pull for Lingsha and Boothill. Feixiao is also a good option, but my Dr. Ratio team functions just fine. As for the units I already have (Jade and Robin), I'm not sure if I can even guarantee to pull for their E1S1s.

You also gotta consider that 3.0 will shift the meta to another playstyle. Superbreak maybe not be as strong as it is in 2.x, of course play with the characters and play style you want but seeing that you have Jade and Robin - maybe you should consider the herta since you have the characters to create a good team for her

As someone who just started has literally nothing except Firefly for premium characters, I'm gonna be going for Lingsha and Robin, as well as probably Tribbie in 3.1, so as to load up on top tier supports. As much as I want Feixiao and Aglaea I think with such a barebones account it's far more worth it to get versatile supports in anticipation for synergistic DPS as opposed to the other way around. The new player problem, F2P or not, is that you just don't have access to the pieces needed to put together a lot of archetypes, even if you have a primary DPS option like Feixiao or Boothill (or Firefly in my case), and having these versatile supports I think is going to do a lot more for me than a top DPS would.

The answer of who to pull is Robin. There's nothing in the game quite like Robin. Robin makes basically every team better except superbreak and even then the teamwide action advance is STILL going to be amazing. If you are new pick a dps and pull. If you are brand new I actually think Feixiao is probably better than the new characters but ONLY because of how well she pairs with March this hunt form and how much she'll help in simulated universe (especially adventures). If you got Robin and your dps, get Lingsha next because she's excellent.

So I actually have my sister who is new to HSR and is F2P. And I am very much recommending Robin. Like you said. She's a pretty good universal support. But also Sister has absolutely fallen in love with the Follow Up Attack Playstyle in Himeko (Who was her "tutorial" 5 star) and Xueyi. She also saw Hunt March on my account and found her adorable and is looking forward to her too. Like I was chilling with her in her stream once and people were telling her to roll and build Firefly. But I just told them that one. She doesn't have the units neccesary to go into Break Teams. And two, I don't want her to stress cause people were like "WELL IF YOU JUST DO EVERY PIECE OF CONTENT HSR HAS EVER HAD IN THE NEXT WEEK VIA PLAYING NONSTOP YOU SHOULD GET ENOUGH PULLS" Like even if she COULD I don't want HSR to become that kind of grind. It'll be enough grinding when she hits endgame account maturity. I just want her to have fun. Robin is the best fit for her right now AND gives her enough time to build pulls at a more reasonable pace. As for me. I'm going for The Herta and letting Aglea go. I get it. She's the shiny new toy in the box. But I just don't need her. I have Electric DPSs. And I have enough other teams. I got Premium DOT Team. I am fine with my Super Break Teams that use budget Harmony/Sustain Options. I got premium Follow Up Team. I am missing a dedicated Ice DPS however. I mean my Mini Herta is fully built but she's relegated to Pure Fiction schenanigans as I'm sure most people's Mini Hertas are. So Big Herta it is for me! If she doesn't give me too much trouble, I may go for E1 Robin. After that...ayo Hoyoverse when we getting more info on the Fate Collab-

I’m curious how effective an underused support in Hanya would be for Aglaea. I built mine pretty decent and she can impart around 75-80 speed onto someone so if you put that on garment maker then inherit that onto Aglaea herself you could in theory break 300 speed. I’m curious to see if that can allow her to keep up, pun intended, with turn push supports.

If you invest into Aglaea well, make her very fast, & you have her best team (Sunday/Robin/HuoHuo), I’d argue she worth the pickup. Even if Aglaea ends up being a powercrept version Jingliu of 3.0, she’ll still be my favorite unit in the game. Especially if there is still lightning weak content in the game, which there will.

I'd wait to see how the meta will shape up. Another thing to note is that I'm sure they'll have her rerun very quick depending on the upcoming characters. Look at Feixiao as a prime example, she came in 2.5 and three patches later she got her rerun, so I wouldn't really worry about it.

It actually depends more on what Mihoyo wants. For example, if in 3.x the 3 endgame modes have specific buffs for summons then she will be extremely relevant throughout all the 3.x period... just like what happened with the superbreak in version 2.x But if the summons are abandoned like what happened with the DoT then she is screwed

If Aglaea is viable long term, she will have a rerun fast. If she is meh, unless you like her design a lot, it is wiser to wait for the next summoner. It is bad business to release the strong DPS first when you can sell the weak design on hype alone... Big Herta on the other hand - while hyped to high heaven as well - has huge team flexibility and is a strong DPS with a rare element. She is also the 5 star version of the most lore-centred character. And an emenator which should make her exceptionally good in her own lane (based on the one we have already, they build emenators to last). So, if you are just short on main DPSs, I would get BigHerta. But of course, if your little heart's desire is to get the blonde beauty, go for it! Then, even if she is powercrept, you"lol be happy with her. I mean, she won't s*ck big time, just... Might struggle with the hardest stuff a little.

I just said that if faced with the same choice I’d also pull Feixiao and Robin, for a variety of reasons that aren’t only about future meta. It’s besides the point from my standpoint, but Feixiao is still a strong DPS, and this is not the Jingliu situation where she had been severely hampered by changes in enemy design before her first rerun even happened.

I will be going for herta 100%. As I do not want to take sunday and robin away from jing yuan, I'm going to have to skip agalea. This video has also convinced me to consider lingsha as I've written her off as solely for break teams despite her follow up attacks as an fua main. I do have luocha, but I would like a sustain who can also reliably attack so I'll think about her for my herta team. Since I wouldn't be using her in a break team, would she still be built the same? and is her light cone necessary?

I already have Jade. So, I am thinking of either Lingsha or FeiXiao. I don't really care too much about The Herta. Aglaea is a maybe for me. Since, obviously there is going to be a big push towards summons in the game and having a summon dps would be good. I think having an amazing dps like FeiXiao or an amazing support like Lingsha is the way to go. I am definitely getting Lingsha's lightcone since it will be amazing on Gallagher if for some reason I don't get Lingsha. Edit: I think Lingsha or Aglaea. Lingsha because having more supports is always good and she is an amazing support. Aglaea since she will probably be vital to a lot of future summon team builds. Maybe pull for Lingsha's lightcone first and then see how many pulls I have left over and decide from there. I don't need Boothill since I have Firefly. I have Robin already and she is amazing plus I love listening to her singing when she ults. So, I might E1 or S2 her if possible depending if the god of pulls is with me and how many pulls I have leftover from the first half of 3.0. I am not sure about Silver Wolf.

I been debating for a while now between Big herta and Algaea. Both are amazing in their own ways but I think Im going to pull for Big Herta(Im sorry my summoner angle). As someone who missed out on Sunday(I tried so hard to get him and Fugue both but I couldn't...and I needed Fugue so I can use RMC in 3.0 and not mess up my firefly and rappa teams). Not having Sunday makes Algara less vaule to get since I wont have her BiS support and she be in a weaker state for few months as we wait for Sunday rerun. On top of that she is the first Rem character and will most likely be powercreep pretty fast as we get deeper into 3.0 series of patches. Hertra on the other hand is really F2P friendly will a bunch of opinions for characters to support her and if Acheron has shown us anything that emanators will always be pretty strong and have long term value. Also I only have Jingliu as a ice dps who have fallen off a lot so having a strong ice dps looks more desirable since I already have Acheron for lighting. So yeah...Im in Big Herta waiting room. That said I hope HOPE I can pull both bc I love both of them.

If i'm not interested in superbreak but i have only aventurine as a 5 star sustainer, is trying to pull a e0s0 lingsha a mediocre choice since most likely we will have a new sustainer in 3.x (the girl who looks like barbara from genshin)?

There is no news about new sustain yet. 3.2 will feature another set of dps. No news in 3.3 paths but are you willing to play no team 2 sustain for 4 patches? Better get lingsha. She works in and out of break teams. She's good in pf bcs there's always fire weakness and she's aoe

Lingsha is pretty futureproof though: 1.) Her Bunny is a summon, so any summon shenanigans, either in character buffs, MOC-effects, ... will also affect her and her summon, which most likely will be the main meta for the upcoming patches. 2.) Her Bunny counts as Follow-Up-Attack, so she is not only good for break teams, but also for follow up. 3.) She has an AoE cleanse, which is always good against crowd control/charms 4.) She works very well with Himeko in Fire-Weak PF and similiar battles.

@Ajax704 Yeah, if you’re guaranteed & you know you want Aglaea, go for it. Me personally, I don’t see value in The Herta considering I already have 4 star Herta, Himeko, Jade, etc. Plus, it seems like a lot of folks are dead set on skipping Aglaea for Castorice, so us Aglaea fans are few & far between haha😅

I decided in the end to pull for The Herta because I'm lacking a good Ice DPS. I will later on pull for Anaxa and Phainon. And I'm not going for Aglaea because I already have 2 good lightning dps (Acheron and Jing Yuan together with Sunday).

i was originally getting boothill cause he’s my favourite character ever however i got firefly last patch since shes also one of my faves - i don’t have fugue or ruan mei (i started in 2.6) so i pulled for The herta instead because my characters fit her better and i also love her playstyle :) i wanna get robin in the second half cause its robin but i’ll see if i win the 50/50 ill get boothill in his next re run because hopefully ill have better supports for him❤

Help, I don't know which character pull for or whether to skip this version for Castorice. I currently have 7k of jades, I have Sunday E1S1, Robin E0S1, I don't have Huohuo, I'm only interested in The Herta and Aglaea, or Castorice if I skip 3.0. The thing is that I am interested in the 2 new characters and I don't know if to pull for anyone, I am not guaranteed and I heard that they need their lightcone both, The Herta needs it for the convenience of skill points and Aglaea needs it for being the first reminiscence and it does not have good lightcones F2P But I don't know, what do you recommend?

Honestly not sure who to pull for. I'm a new player, only halfway through the game so far. I don't know if i'l have enough to pull for the lightcones, but I'm sure I could definitely get a new five star character at least. So far, my only premium characters, except for the trailblazer, are just Bronya, Sunday, and Bailu which are technically all support characters. I'm honestly leaning towards "The Herta" just because of how enticing she looks. But on another hand, there's also the fact that given I have Sunday, getting Aglea instead might just be better. There is also the fact that I only have like a four star dps lightning and a five star abundance support character so I'm kinda lacking in lightning dps? not that it hasn't caused much problems for me so far anyways.

so herta is the emanator of erudition and wants two or more erudition on her team and acheron is the emanator of nihility and wants more nihility units on her team dose that mean all emanators will want team members with the same path as them?

TheHerta, Blade, Jade, Luocha is the comp I am gonna be looking to run. Debt collect blade so he follow ups a lot, autos frequently, etc. Replacing blade with sunday would be better but I have a cracked blade and he is my fave.

Herta works off of other Erudition characters, and with Sunday advancing both Jing Yuan AND Lightning Lord i think you'd be looking at a solid team. They are, however, SP hungry, so your sustain should be SP positive, like gallagher, houhou E1, FX,.. Even better if you have Sundays LC or at least the Bronya LC

I’m awful at team building -.- I have Sunday’s LC cuz it seemed too good to skip haha plus I love jing yuan so I was excited he had an amazing support but I feel like the general is still more sub dps than main so I’m excited for herta to take the lead :) I have huohuo e1 so that will be my sustain. Extra energy for my ultimates is always a bonus too haha

Ended up pulling for Feixiao to finish the FUA team. Now I have to try and resist Aglaea (was easy until I started playing the 3.0 story) and save for Castorice and Hyacine 😭
