Don't forget, while the Guaranteed Damage is very strong, they did already build a failsafe into it: If enemies have Damage Resistance buffs, it reduces the guaranteed damage dealt to the enemy (you can see this with Golden Bombs and, funny enough, the very same B100 Jenova you mentioned). And since both fixed damage weapons thus far are Phys damage, they just need to give foes Phys Res if they wanna mitigate the cheese. So it's possible we may get more fights that want Magic damage over Phys going forward if the fixed damage cheese becomes an actual issue for Balance. Though I think it might only become a legit issue if someone cheeses the next few Crashes with them at OB6 or less. Doubt, but not entirely impossible depending on the HP the foe has.

I specifically started a new account for this event so I could pull while I recovered from angeal and the lightning banners and I have to say this totally smashes . this is a fairly obvious must pull for any new account and a very strong side grade for established accounts. pray for me as I am in ex hell clawing at that over boost6 and I could really use that extension and some really good luck

Didn't feel like I needed this weapon but I wanted to pull somewhere to get some sub weapon OB levels for GB. Started with 91K BC, ended with 45K. Netted: OB0 Aerith, Aerith UW, OB0 Seph, Seph Arcanum costume, Tifa OB5 (150 WPs, will OB6 using 50 Tifa parts) and Tifa costume plus a few other misc items from wish list.

Im thinking of pulling on Seph's to costume since I missed out on his other water arcanum. D: (and I dont have much for water.) I dunno how he compares to Tifa's water since I dont have her either. 🤔🤔 (and Im kinda wanting to get Nanaki's buff extension costume with the anni voucher)

I got his costume and it's great cause it works with tempest too! So now he has a magic and a physical water setup with the same costume. His new weapon is stronger than Tifa's but it's a bit comparable because Tifa can buff her water damage. Sephiroth will do just as much damage with less atb, even more if you have genji blade. If he gets a water damage buff weapon like Tifa eventually, he will outclass her.

I did OB10 on Sabins Claws. I was able to give Tifa 9000 attack power and above. I pair her with other team member who have PATK all allies up. Having Tifa and Cloud using Kamehameha and Dragonclaws is a sight to behold. The rare ability selection is interesting and the selfbuffing while attacking makes her easy to use.

Id also keep in mind that i dont think this is meant to be relied on for buffing low to high. I think its more for a) extending that buff duration just for doing damage, and b) it could be a "top up" i.e. you dont have kamura wand ob6, so aerith starts and gets you to patk mid, then make your first strike with this wep after and itll top her up to high before aerith buffs the rest of the party to high. Or if you use tifas UW which does patk/matk party mid, then top up with this. Honestly i think its just a lesser version of clouds bahamut sword and a great add on in general. I agree that you can get away without it. But its also great to have.

Hey Octo, first off, sorry to hear about the hospital stuff and hope everything is going well for you and your loved ones. Regarding the banner, I think the weapon is strong for the same reason I thought Cloud’s Baha Sword was strong; the 30-40k flat damage on top of the base damage in an AoE. That said, it is confirmed Cloud’s weapon is better in shorter fights than Tifa’s but I think in longer fights, which hasn’t really been tested yet, the damage with Sabin claws could even out. Lastly… Personally I don't particularly mind that we didn't see a crazy new spike in power with these banners, as most of us are still recovering gems. Maybe a hot take, I dunno but it's kind of comforting in a way knowing that maybe Applibot is maybe okay with not setting a new benchmark every limited banner.

Hope the hospital thing turned out ok! As for this crossover, super disappointed personally.. Aside from terra's costume (the look only) , everything else felt so underwhelming, especially for a limited crossover banner (and for the best FF game ever made on top of that) I'm skipping this whole cross over, I just got 1 freaking copy of aerith weapon despite getting her costume, but I'll leave it at that and wait for maybe Xmas limited banner or something or save to go big on the next crossover

This banner was quite disappointing. Many people were already unhappy that Tifa received Sabin's outfit instead of Celes's. To make matters worse, the fact that the weapon is merely an inferior version of Cloud's Bahamut Sword made people even more disappointed.

Why would Tifa get Celes? You know they're basing the collab based on the order the party members come into playable from FF6 right? Terra, Locke, Edgar, Sabin, and Cyan. It's not even the party roles or their classes that matters, the only 2 that matches are Aerith/Terra and Tifa/Sabin.

Then you clearly didn’t hear in the video or read bunch of comments that someone was in the hospital, which is why the video was later than usual in the first place. You can see he is stressed and tired from whatever is going on in his real life. He most likely made this video in the middle of the night when the household is sleeping because probably the only time he could do it. He didn’t even stream when new content dropped. (He hasn’t streamed in over a week or answered anyone in discord). If video games were his top priority as you are making it out to be, then his channel would be very different. Making one video doesn't mean EC is more important. Most likely, he was getting it out of the way to not add more stress. Heaven forbid, EC space out their banners out like they use to, not drop new banners weekly!! Given that it was his youngest daughter whom was in the hospital, EC and whatever drama that is going on far down his priority list. Again, he has already addressed it on Twitch before whatever had happened with his daughter. His family is way more important to him than EC, video games and etc. He has made that perfectly clear frequently since the beginning of his channel. So yes, leave it be because you are not going to get an answer anytime soon.
